Baylor did the same thing this season. Have they fallen as well?
Even weirder to me, as they won the conference when other teams lost and the game against Texas was just a game. Cutting the nets down after that is a little strange to me.

I can understand both decisions. A coach doesn't want their team to be satisfied with the regular season or conference championship because they want them to thrive with win the NC. But it can also be a great way to celebrate the accomplishment especially in front of the home crowd.

I'm for everything but cutting down the nets. Don't ask me why, but it's just weird. A trophy presentation is great.

Just my opinion. Don't mean to insult anyone.

Duke cut down the nets after they beat the Tarheels in 2011 on Senior Night... they clinched the ACC regular season with that victory. I thought it was kinda strange...... but they didnt ask for my opinion.

The Baylor situation is really strange. At least Duke in your situation and Tennessee in theirs cut down nets that were used in the game that clinched it. Baylor nets were just nets.

Well Tenn has zero chance of a NC so I guess this can be there big celebration. Again I say look how far they have fallen, from contesting for the NC every year to cutting down the nets like they actually did something by winning the SEC!
