Lol. You know what it’s like finding a ref in 2022? This guy probably came straight from work doing 5 games in a row for 10 bucks a game ( if not a volunteer) .

Sorry he ruined the 10 year old kids nba aspirations. Jesus.

The answer is , put Karen in a striped shirt.
Ok? Eat before doing the games… why is that so hard? It’s just disrespectful to the kids.

Disrespectful to 10 year olds? The guy is probably working 2 or 3 jobs and he eats when he can.

Thanks for your comment, Karen.

Corn?

C'mon, Pennslyvannia (and W. Virginia)

Never seen corn as a topping in Pittsburgh, except at a sit-down Neopolitan place. I did have a pie with corn, pickles and ham in Bulgaria though. Was pretty good.

That Barstool tweet seems like an obvious troll. Lots of people eat the trash, talk, and drive engagement. The sad state of the world we live in.

This is nonsense. I used to say this but Chicago Deep Dish/Pan is actually really tasty as is Detroit Style. I've yet to find anyone who has had Pequod's, Burt's, Art of Pizza, Malnati's etc. and didn't like it.

The style that most true Chicagoans actually eat more of than Deep Dish is Chicago style tavern pizza. It's cracker thin and just a really bad version of thin crust pizza.

You can get good burgers and dogs anywhere in the country. If you're doing sandwiches in Chicago go to Johnnie's Beef and get a combo or two. It's an Italian beef with a smoked sausage (order it hot and juicy) or go to Ricobene's and get a breaded steak sandwich or a Chicken Vesuvio sandwich. Those sandwiches stack up with pretty much any great sandwich you'll find in the country.
It is a matter of taste. I just do not like deep dish. When I lived in the Hartford area we had an Uno on the Berlin Turnpike which claimed to be Chicago deep dish. We did not like it and I did not like deep dish the last time I spent a few days in Chicago. The gang of us that went out for pizza mostly liked it but I am opiniated.

I mean it is pretty much tomato soup in a bread bowl. Not sure how the public has let Chicago slide all these years calling that "pizza."
I like your way of describing deep dish.

In the 20 years I have lived here I have never once seen a pizza with avocado on it.

Came here to say the same. But in my 14 years here I've also never stepped foot in a CPK and would imagine that's where the response comes from, from the people with garbage pizza palates

I don't understand why there is a forum for "UCONN Baseball And Olympic Sports." Why is baseball lumped in with the Olympics? Anyway, since I didn't see any Olympics posts over there, I am posting here.

I never heard of Lindsey, but she is representin'

Bobby's is really good.

#1 good? no.

Top 6 yes.

Certainly better than First and Last, Harrys , Willington pizza(lol) , E&D and Little city. Farmington valley pizza. Ha. Why not throw Avon Pizza and Apollos in there. ;-)

Happy to see Rossini's on the list. Since venturing to the wrong side of the river that is my go to spot.

Bobby's is a "hidden" gem. I have not been there in years, but if I was not going to Tolli's or John & Maria's when I was in Staven I was heading up Rt. 80 for Bobby's.

Anything notable about E&D or Little City?
E & D has leapfrogged Little City for me ever since Little City moved locations down Hopmeadow and into Avon. Doesn't seem the same for me. Maybe it's the vibe of the location? Maybe the oven is different? I don't know. E & D is very solid....not sure if it belongs on the list with the heavyweights just yet, but neither does Willington for certain.
