Hahahahahahaha

In a nutshell, the killers caught the posers.

It took a while, but Houston wore Duke down - with a few minutes left, Duke was walking everywhere. Flagg was toast - Houston took their legs, their souls and the game, in that order.

For those saying that the officials screw Duke, recall the play where Duke kicked the ball out of bounds and got it back. Enough said.
Scheyer is Vinnie Barbarino without the accent and hair.
#brotherhood and for the flagg family #motherhood

Houston can thank the ref who called a bogus foul on Cooper with 20 secs left, that led to Houston taking the lead. I mean Duke choked big time. But so did that ref.
Even though it was after this foul cooper totally hooked his defender on that last shot. That was about the best officiated game I’ve seen this year. Let’s get em to the big east.

Memorable images at the end:
4-stunned and blank look on Flagg's face
3-Proctor (?) cuddling up to Flagg and asking "why" as they walked off
2-Scheyer talking too much and choking up in his post game interview while not giving Houston the credit they were due
1-two Dukie "lovelies" in tears in the crowd

Does anyone think fans, especially Duke, Auburn, Florida and Houston, realize just how hard it is to win one NCAA championship? How hard it is to win back to back?

I hope UConn's dominance the past 2 years is put into proper perspective by the fans and media. How lucky were UConn fans to experience no battles on our way to those championships. Just coronations. Amazing!

Flagg has to be asking himself why he didn't make the right choice.......

He made a choice that he valued Coach hugs and frat boy love over Championship culture and NBA development. This shouldn't be a surprise.

I'd take the championship ring and elite coaching myself...but he will always have that "Duke Brotherhood" patch on his letterman jacket at the Duke reunions, so kudos to him.:D

Can it ever feel better as a UConn fan to see Duke losing in the final minutes, the way we did against Seton Hall earlier this year. Watching Cooper Flagg, a player that we almost nabbed, getting called for a game changing over the back call, the same way we watched McNeeley get that call in Maui earlier this year in our own heartbreaker of a loss.

The basketball gods are the great equalizer. Thank god for basketball.

Yeah my DVR stopped recording, even with 45 minute extension set for live tv after Houston made one of 2 ft with 1:27 left on the game clock. Hope that last minute wasn't too exciting. Geezus now a second team has came back against Duke down 8 or more points with under 3 minutes to go. So I guess Duke is not going to tie UCONN this year with 6 Nattys. HUUUSKIES!!!!

it’s going to be a great day. What a lovely thread to wake up to. :D:D:D

Now I’m sorry I didn’t stay up to watch the end. Lol

Damn I fell asleep! I picked Houston to win it all. I figured Duke talent would get them to F4, but Sampson coaching would best Shayer who is just a recruiter. Thought I had it wrong when my head hit the pillow

Real time, as someone rooting for Houston, I was wishing they hadn't called it. My fear was Duke would get the ball last with a chance to win it. I was hoping the Houston could bring it down and win it with no time left for Duke. It worked out anyway.

In a nutshell, the killers caught the posers.

It took a while, but Houston wore Duke down - with a few minutes left, Duke was walking everywhere. Flagg was toast - Houston took their legs, their souls and the game, in that order.

Five minutes in to the game I noticed Flagg was already doing a lot of walking and grabbing his shorts.
Kneuppel is the kid who hung in longer than I thought. He looked gassed frombthe get go.

I turned the game off and went to bed figuring it was over, I wake up this morning to be shocked in a pleasant way seeing Duke had lost.

Watching the last minute you really got to see the whole youth vs experience thing play out. Houston in that last minute was poised Duke was rushed. The last possession where Flagg had the ball Houston knew it was going to him and they said we aren't doubling his man had him 1 v1 and he played him like a vet should have forcing that shot.

We have six nattys and while the utter hate I had for duke has subsided from where it once was because of those title, the absolute joy I get from them losing has never left, especially when it's in this fashion.

Of course 1999 and 2004 are the best of those losses because they denied Duke titles. I would put this one up there about 4th best loss ever by duke. I'd put K's last game ahead of it just because of the significance of the game.
