Rick. You think he's done enough to get next year?
No, I don't.....if a Power Conference extended us a lifeline, I'd understand firing him because gaining conference affiliation with long-term stability and exposure, coupled with the previously-demonstrated ability of someone to win at UConn, we could attract a legitimate coaching candidate.
Sadly, I think the fact that he inherited a train wreck, and turned in one acceptable season, is JUST enough to give him one more year. I'm not arguing for keeping Coach with any passion because I don't feel strongly about keeping him.
I WILL say, if a school is only going to give a coach three years when they take over a train wreck, you are BEGGING for the coach to cut corners in terms of building a team the right way.
