Loved the win. Nice night to be a Husky. We still need much more from our guards.

Bouk 4-13, 0-2 from three
Gaff 2-10, 1-7 from three
Vital 3-11, 2-6 from three
Adams 2-7, 1-5 from three

So the guards were 11-41, and 4-20 from the arc. And many of our treys were wide open. So loved the win. We still need SHOOTERS.

But not to end on a sour note. Akok is on his way to being a MONSTER. He looks so much more comfortable in the offense. One the lights come on, he is going to shut off the lights for many opponents. He is a joy to watch.

Dreadful shooting by all thank God Temple was more dreadful.

Again, our guys missed a bunch of open/good shots. Not a lot of stupid drives or desperation heaves. Those almost always result in a run-out/easy basket by the other team.

Shot selection (ie a high BB IQ ) is the key to winning.

Our defense was unreal. They couldn’t get any clean looks. We could be really dangerous once those shots start falling. We had a ton of in and outs.

He shot well over 40% from 3 in high school he can shoot.

Not uncommon to get overwhelmed with limited playing time. The stress of needing to make a basket or getting subbed out takes its toll. The more minutes he plays, the better he'll be IMO.

The number of clean looks we had tonight was really encouraging, especially given that Temple is a top 30 defensive team (Kenpom). Just gotta get them to fall. Also thought there was a real emphasis on pushing the ball up the floor tonight (although it helps when your opponent misses a million shots).

Players aren't going to turn themselves from poor shooters into good ones midseason.

We need to limit mistakes and get easy buckets. Looks like we did that today.

We turned the ball over 10 times and outscored them 22-16 in fast break points. Like I said before, I think we need to score at least 20+ points via the fast break for us to win.
