Has Uconn made an announcement when the team will be back for workouts ? It looks like may schools are already back we should at least have a date and a course of action to return. The dates can jiggle...
>>Those starting on Week 1, Labor Day weekend, could begin required workouts July 13, enhanced training July 24 and camp Aug. 7. For those starting a week before, on Week 0, activities can move up by a week. The final version of the plan could see slight adjustments in those dates, says Lyons.<<
Florida is doing so well they just peaked for like a fourth timeThe coronavirus has hit some states much harder than others. For much of the pandemic, a large share of U.S. cases have been centered around New York City. As of early June, New York state, Connecticut and New Jersey accounted for about 30% of total cases in the nation and 42% of deaths, although new cases have been dropping in these three states. Across the country, other large, populous states such as California, Illinois and Texas have high totals as well.
My assumption is that the earlier peaks were in the NE....Florida, the 3rd largest state and the state with the most elderly population, has done relatively well so far...cases will climb before they plateau or fall. As of early June, Florida has had 4.0 deaths per 100,000....Connecticut, 39.9 per 100,000.

State by State: Comparing Coronavirus Death Rates Across the U.S. (Published 2020)
Even as governors look to lift restrictions, the country continues to see spikes in deaths from the coronavirus.www.nytimes.com
Florida, as I noted, was peaking after Connecticut...but the deaths per 100,000 will have to increase ten fold to equal Connecticut...they could...but I don't think that they will.
The problem with Florida is that it is a summer magnet for folks from all over to vacation...
So are the New England states but we are doing this crazy thing called “taking precautions”Florida, as I noted, was peaking after Connecticut...but the deaths per 100,000 will have to increase ten fold to equal Connecticut...they could...but I don't think that they will.

Or masksLike sending covid patients to nursing homes...
Everybody has to open up someday....and Florida, more populous than New York state, will have it's share of cases...
But, in context of the thread...FSU football is a week into conditioning with all players on board except one who is quarantined....doing well at this point. If the kids go out for the July 4th holiday, there is an expectation that there might be more quarantines when retested.
Florida has had a problem with some noncompliance...hard to police..
Hmmm...

Houston Announces Pause in Voluntary Workouts - University of Houston Athletics
The University of Houston Department of Athletics is immediately suspending all voluntary workouts for student-athletes, out of an abundance of caution.uhcougars.com
>> Referred to as a so-called Buckeye Pledge, it asks players to "pledge to take responsibility for my own health and help stop the spread of the COVID-19."
The document goes on to warn athletes that "although the university is following the coronavirus guidelines issued by the CDC and other experts to reduce the spread of infection, I can never be completely shielded from all risk of illness caused by COVID-19 or other infections."
Incoming freshmen who had not turned 18 needed to have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver.<<
