Greatest College Basketball Programs In Each State

I thought about it, but all of their glory was in the 40's-50's.

But they did win 2 nat'l championships. One an NCAA, which was before the existing NCAA so in reality an NIT, plus another NIT. Throw in a final 4 and they have a richer tradition than BCU. Plus 2 all-americans and future NBA hall of famers in Cousy and Heinshon.

I think you could make the case for Holy Cross. They at least have a NC on their resume, and have produced some NBA HoFer's.
Holy Cross for sure. They also won The NIT in 1954, and you can make a strong argument that they were better than NCAA Champion LaSalle. 1954 was probably the last year where you could really make that case. The NIT champs for the next decade or so were still usually Top 10 teams, but the NCAA Champs were clearly better. Not the case in 54.
