Don't remember this one, but it's awesome!"Mourning, Motumbo, I'll take 'em to the hole!" - John Gwynn
I can't find it anywhere but I am sure I remember it when he was interviewed after defeating g'town in the big east tournament.Don't remember this one, but it's awesome!
Emmert couldn't get out of there fast enough!Shabazz taking the mic in 2014 is on top for me. Especially when he told the crowd to be quiet and listen first.
Close second is El Amin before the Duke game. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
"Isaiah Whaley... THE WRENCH!
He RAN everywhere."
Look for a StllH8Mullins handle on their message board in a few years and you’ll know. 😂I hope it haunts them as long as the Laettner shot haunted us. Hopefully much longer, actually.
Another good one from Dave Portnoy:Dave Portnoy

The thing I love about UConn is you got to kill em 100 times in March before they die once

First season showed promise even though they were really undermanned. The Huskies did fight hard in the powerful BE. I remember that Greg Economu(sp?) from the golf team was added because Calhoun needed players.I have to include the history to make this complete. Many in this site were either young or still unborn. It was the 1986-87 season. It was Calhoun's first year. At the end of the first semester Cliff Robinson and Phil Gamble were suspended from the team due to academics. There were less than 5000 at the civic center vs Seton Hall. At about the 8 minute break the announcer announced to the crowd to please stay to the completion of the game as Coach Calhoun wished to make an announcement. Our record that season was 9-19. After the game Coach Calhoun thanked us for staying with the team and supporting the Huskies. Then the quote. " I promise you you will never have a season like this again." He kept his promise. I believe it was his only losing season
