Song and video hold up very well for being 20 years old.
Over used garbage if you ask me, not that you did.

Keeping it in that time frame anyway. I played the crap out of this album then:

I haven't read through all of these, but tomorrow's date offers one of the best openings in pop music: "Do you remember the 21st night of September?"

5 year anniversary for my wife and I tomorrow. Played that one as our entrance music after our nuptials.

Not an opening riff but I wanted to post this for your enjoyment. Is there any song this band can’t do?

I haven't peed in anyone's pool all day, so might as well just go here ;)

Probably a few hundred they can't do well, if not a thousand or more.

It's a fine tribute to Aretha, but I don't see this as a stretch for them at all. It's a bluesy tune. Pretty much right in their wheelhouse.

Let me know when they try something like, I dunno... Montana? Echoes? This Charming Man?

(If you can't tell, I'm not a fan of hyperbole...)

Pretty Woman Roy Orbison. I think one of the most recognized riff of any song, by most people.

I haven’t read the entire thread so i’m sure its been mentioned, but “Stay with me” by Faces has one of my favorite opening riffs.

Also touching on the rap base, “Xxplosive” by Dre is great too.
