OT: Great news for the UConn men!

It’s ok here in the off-season. We’re all Husky fans

One of the things I was struck by was just how thoroughly Karaban evaluated his draft prospects before ultimately deciding to return to college for another season. Just yesterday he was at an evaluation with I believe Portland, one of many he attended. Absent a firm commitment from an NBA team to take him in the 1st round, or guarantee him a roster spot, Karaban made the wise decision to run it back at UConn for a 3rd year. Dan Hurley must have a serious face sprain from smiling ear to ear. :)

It had gone on so long I had given up the ghost on his return. Would have fallen over when I got the news, but I was sitting down. For a big guy it is amazing how he eludes defenders.

He didn't have a great shooting year last year but a very good defensive player and rebounder. Having him back will be good for stability of the team, and he was always one of my favorites.

Didn’t have a great shooting year? AK shot 38% from the arc, 64% inside the arc and 89% from the foul line. I’d say that’s pretty good shooting at any level.

I would certainly agree on that!

He didn't have a good year shooting per his standards !
