2020 Recruiting: Grad Transfer G Tahj Eaddy

Kid is probably a better shooter from 3 than his % says this year (pretty good ft shooter), but he appears to be in the Evans/Anderson/DO class of grad transfers.

The difference is that's OK now because it is a depth piece for next year's team unlike 2017-2018 where that type of player was asked to play significant minutes and the results were what one would expect.

im just setting expectations since the other are guys who Are starters (nolley or russell)

I would prefer Alterique to him. And I'd obviously prefer Russell to him. But if Alterique leaves, I definitely think we need another guard. I suppose he'd be better than whatever is left of the class of 2020. Might as well cast a wide net.

Eaddy spent three years at Notre Dame-West Haven.

I mentioned this in the Wichita State thread, but Eaddy only needs 10 more points to reach 1000 in his career.

Wherever he lands, I wish him best of luck!

I echo Toolzie - I would rather have AG back before any of the xfer guards - he knows the coach, the coach has high respect for AG, AG knows the system and knows where he fits in, AG is loved by his teammates, AG can play the position and is a class act
All this we know
We know squat about all these others

I can’t belueve this kid is still in college. Wasn’t he playing for ND-WH like 8 years ago?

If this is true he’ll end up at Pitt like Krauser.

I like this kids game that ball fake turned 3 was sweet. Has a little mid range too.

There was a graduate assistant on our team named Justin Eaddy this year. Wonder if there is any relation.

I'm quite perplexed with this one

All for a 5th ball handler tho, but would rather a guy like Nolley obviously

He was second team All-WCC a year ago. Staff must see something they like. Guessing this means Gilbert is gone though..

Am I missing something here? His numbers aren’t that good.

A 37% 3-pointer shooter for his career at volume, which would have been second on the team behind only Polley (team was 211th in the country in 3P%). This team could use a Craig Austrie. I think this guy could very nicely fill this role coming off the bench behind Bouk.

based on his numbers and metrics, unless there’s some extenuating circumstances....I stand by this.

now I hope if this kid comes out here that he proves me wrong. I’ll be happy to be wrong. But I’m just keeping it real here.

Does Hurley prefer this guy as a 1 year great transfer/extra guard over committing to Nolley for 3 years?

Maybe he envisions chasing more talented guards in the following draft class?

I would imagine this is the other way around and him just checking every avenue in case he has to go to plan B or C
