Got home late

Having Caroline and Tiffany bringing up the ball most of the time kept the turnovers down and the underclassmans minds open and not concerned about handleing the presser. Caroline and Tiff have been there before smart move. UConn played with speed and quickness and sitting just 4 rows back you could see the ND playes huffing and puffing mid way through the first half. When UConn got a 10 pt lead and Novesel was on the bench with 2 fouls Geno took out Bria and KML UConns best scorers. That imo was a mistake as ND came back. I felt there was never a chance UConn would lose this game. They ran the ball up the court and werent standing around. They were crisp and aggressive. ND was a little shell shocked and with Novesel on the bench they couldnt score as easily. Kelly hit the 2 big shots late in the game and KML is .............Wow. Did she get enough hardware this tournment. California must be proud and CT is proud of their adopted daughter. The BE games were a learning experience for UConn in that they were playing flat and the STJ game showed that. The picked it up in the BE tournment and now are playing like a different team.
Very key was having CD and Tiff bring the ball up taking the pressure off Bria and allowing her to score . Getting Stef involved and maintaining their quickness and speeding up the game kept ND off balance. This is a team that has come a long way. They were on cruise control mid way through the season and lost it for a couple of games and now understand what they had and how to maintain it. They will be a FF team this season and avenged two teams who beat them . Gosh its great to be a Husky Fan

This team saw some incredible growth and maturity in the last few days as they had to relearn how to win and they had to relearn to be tough.
I would say that they sat at their coaches knee and learned their lessons well. I thought Geno was so happy to the point of being verklempt!!
I have always been happy to be a Husky fan, up or down, win or lose. I am so very happy for the team and for all of Husky Nation!!!
