14-16 off the bench? Name the last High Major player in the last 50 years who's done that?

I've seen a lot of posts from you and while I love the enthusiasm for this kid, to say I'm taking your predictions with a grain of salt is an understatement.

Maybe he's been underutilized but he averaged 10 points for GW. He's not going to be a superstar for UConn. I'd love to be proven wrong but I don't see that happening.

Waiters averaged 6.6ppg as a freshman and 12.6 as a sophomore. Are you suggesting Kromah is going to be significantly better than the 4th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft? Awesome.
He'll have a similar impact if not better.

I'LL just say this . My reason for calling thid early is because i saw what this kid did in hus one year with hobbs. Putting up 21 agains providence when marshon brooks was there 25 on a sweet 16 richmond team etc. I kno he was stifled at gw so I just fell like if he straightens out his three point shooting which is what he was known for as a frosh, He'll be the biggest surprise of this season and help you guys go further than anyone expected. Especiallywiyb tbe good guards already on the team. You guys think hobbs went back for this guy for nothing?? To make a kid he recruited that had star potential be a role player?? Okay. He was comparing him to rip while at gw. Check the pressers from that year

bro he averaged 10 in that system. as a freshman he averaged 12 for hobbs. he had a lisfranc injury 2 years ago and has showed more athleticism since

Without ever seeing Kromah play, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Omar averaging double figures, as a freshman, in the Big East, as the 4th option on offense, on a good Uconn team is a little bit more impressive than Kromah averaging double figures, as a senior, in the A-10, on a lousy GW team.
I know the big east is the best conference but the a-10 is not a weak conference by any means.Temple, st. Louis, La salle, Butler, Vcu, all were ranked this past seaso. And xavier had an off season but yhey're usually there. He has performed well against these teams i. the past. Had his best season in hobbs' system averaged 12 as a freshman. Was stifled at Gw ut im telling you he is a high level guard coming in with a chip on his shoulder and he's from my area. the dmv.We produce the best ballers. You all will thank me later

Never doubt a guy from the dmv. Thats dc maryland virginia metropolitan area. We've produced the best ballers in the past ten years and Kromah is one of them. YOU'LL See. (evil laughter)

The a-10 is not the big east but the a-10 has a lot of quality teams including two that left for the new big east and will compete very wrll in butler and temple. Lasan put up similar numbers in his freshman year averaging 11.8 and scoring 21 against providence which is a big east school

I've seen this guy play in person multiple times at school and no way is he coming into UConn and
A) Starting at the 3
B) Averaging 14-16 a game

I know people questioned his motivation to the team under Longeran and such, but I haven't seen the talent out of him that would prompt writing either of those two points.

As I said in another read he's a much more athletic RJ and should be a solid role player, but nothing more than that.
If this is true ten you saw how lonergan subs players after one mistake destroying their confidence. Yo've also seen lasan light it up if this is true. also you saw him play the one thru three effectively and be the second leading scorer coming off the bench. And there's no way he shoots too much he took like 9 shots a game

I now think there is more pressure on hyperthink than there is on Kromah to perform in 13-14......lol........

Thanks for the posts hyper I like them and hope you are even partially correct because he will make a difference for a very good team already!!;)

You're very welcome my friend. The thing is everybody's a scout everybody's a genius on here. And I have seen a lot of lasan. My little brother played against himm in aau and high school.I've seen him do so much. and hobbs knows. Everybody is talking about his last years' stats but whut about his stats when hobbs was the coach?? Im telling you i havent seen much of calhoun but he better be first round draft material right now or else his spot is in jeopardy. Imtelling you this kid is good Indiana wanted him to replace oladipo. Xavier was begging him to come and they were in the a10 wit him. Why do you think so? They're moving to what was formerly you guys' conference. You think they wanted him as a role player?? you guy will see

.-.
Just make sure you come back next season to take your crow if you're wrong. Too many people talk a big game on here then disappear when they're proven wrong.

That being said, I hope you're right, and Kromah gives Lebron fits in the Association in 2 years.

Why would you demand that? He is hyping up a UConn player. He's not saying an obvious inferior opponent is better than UConn.

If Kromah is half the player Hyperthink believes he is, I'll be more than satisfied in watching UConn earn their 4th Mens National Championship.

Nah bro I wont go that far. lol.

Rashad Anderson averaged 12.8 off the bench in 05-06 for us! If we had one, surely some other schools had some.

This hyperthink guys unwaning enthusiasm of kromah is entertaining. I know somebody who played on those gw Hobbs teams (transfered due to the coach also from ct), claims kromah is a high propensity shooter. Aka jacker.
he played one season for hobbs. put up good numbers and was all freshman a 10. second leading scorer and had a greenlight to shoot. u cant just jack on most teamd. a lot of the time its the coach that allows u to shoot

If he shoots 39% from 3 like he did his frosh year under Hobbsy then let them fly........I'm thinking while hyper may be a bit overzealous he is more correct than not and that's a good thing!!

Reality is that he's probably a decent player. Hobbs obviously still likes him and has convinced Ollie he's worth taking on (over a 7' German). He should be a solid enough role player at worst, and a really nice option at best.

People need to stop saying that Ollie took away Wolf's scholarship to give to Kromah. That's not how things went down. They filled the scholarship after the decision was made to strip Wolf of his. It wasn't an "either or" decision.

did u hear what ollie said about kromah???? its coming to fruition #evillaughter

How is he eligible right away? I can't find the answer, and I know someone here knows.
graduated from GW, playing as a grad student- with one year of eligibility left due to injury.

He's graduating from GW and coming in as a graduate student.

Must be why the UConn roster has his year listed as 'GS'. So this will be his only year at UConn?

I'm not sure I did? What was that hyp?

I saw what Miller said: "Lasan Kromah – “..is a 2/3. He was injured as a sophomore but graduated in four years, kind of like RJ Evans, so he has another year of eligibility. He’s a tremendous, tremendous addition to the team. He can really score and like Omar, has a real swagger”."

LMAO. When Hobbs was the coach Kromah was on the bench during most crunch times because Hobbs couldn't trust either his D or his decision making. Hobbs went apesh** on Byron Kerr, the play by play guy on Federal News Radio after a game, for asking why Kromah wasn't in at crunch time because Hobbs had no way to answer the question without embarassing the young man.

Kromah was a good A-Ten player. He was not a great A-Ten player. His athletic skills are still better than his feel for the game, and his shooting hasn't improved a lick since he came to Foggy Bottom.

That being said, he has the potential to be a bigger help than Evans was against top level competition, and to score some points on a day when others are cold. I'm not knocking the young man or UConn for giving him a scholly, but ....

Happy to see you are alive...

I'm excited about getting Kromah! He wants UConn!! And that makes him great in my book. Funny how posters have turned to laughing at a poster whom they think is over the top by making digs at a kid who has no part in this and who is bleeding husky blue. I guess I'm the only one who finds this strange.

A post that inspires mentions of RutgersAl, Sidd Finch, random potshots at a likely good addition, and a well-appreciated call for perspective.

I just want to know is it too much to ask, on behalf of Huskybass, what kind of shoes he wears?
