Most would have liked the win tonight but the thought of Pasqualoni saving his job with a win tonight would have made me sick to my stomach. This Michigan team sucks, we should have won.

We really don't have much talent on offense. UConn is painful to watch with the ball.

Could have won, not should have won. We suck on O more than they do. They have QB who can escape trouble and a real D 1 tail back both teams scored off of mistakes. Whitmer is not all that bad. I agree he locks on his target, but he's pretty accurate given reasonable time by his line. While the interception was deadly, one Eli Manning has been picked regularly this season. Disappointed, yes. But nobody wanted to leave early.

The WRs look good--can't say the same about the others.

This game showed that football could generate excitement in the area if the situation presents itself. Great crowd, great atmosphere.

Very true. And, even though I live in Boston, I wish I could have made it. If they had games against real teams with any regularity, I'd probably buy into at least the 3 game mini-plan every-year.

Love ya cohen but Eli and Whitmer? C'mon.......

He locks on receivers, leaves the pocket in a rush too often and doesn't have the feel back there the good ones do.........they need to make the change for the better of the future. But in his defense the line is awful, the running backs are 1AA ish so it makes it tough. Time to toughen up one of the future QB's now....too bad they wouldn't have Phillips and Davis next year both are seniors right. That's as good as a duo of receivers we've seen at UConn........

They key is it can generate excitement with the key word being "excitement". Quite honestly there isn't enough when you can't wait for the defense to get back on the field because of the ineptness of O.......time for change to create that excitement all year around not just when Big Blue comes to town.

Only mentioned Eli to point out that a very good QB with good protection can throw crap passes. Whitmer, for all his shortcomings, is easily the most accurate QB at UConn since Danny O when he has decent protection. Should we burn a redshirt to find out if Boyle does any better with a line that doesn't protect him? I'm not sure it would be the right situation. I'm not sure Tom Brady would succeed here with that pass protection.

The fact is, having sat through both Maryland and Michigan, that against MD the O was between than the D, and this game it was the reverse. The D sucked against MD and I think it's because MDs QB is more of an overall threat than Michigans.

I also thought DiLorenzo seemed to get to holes faster than Lyle. I'm not sure how big a difference Philips would have made. I thought Foxx looked like a weapon.

Foxx can be very good. Very good athlete in the open field and while he doesn't have the size of imposing size of Davis and Philips he can make people miss. Needs to do a better job of actually catching the ball though.

As far as RBs go it should be DiLorenzo with some Hyppolite and a little McCombs not the other way around. Not sure why the coaching staff feels so inclined to give McCombs the bulk of the carries. Doesn't really matter much with our O-Line though.

Davis and Phillips are both RS Jrs.
