That one sequence doesn't't mean that KO wasn't outcoached by Brown. Brown took away everything that Bazz wanted to do all game long. Ollie never made a counter move to the Brown defense.
I think Tyler played well in his minutes... But, KO was outcoached for the second time by Larry Brown. This isn't a huge issue or surprise, as Larry Brown is considered one of the better coaches and basketball minds in history. But the quoted post is the key. For the second time this year, Brown had an answer to our half court offense. And for the second time this year, KO did not. That's being outcoached. Sure, we missed a good amount of open looks but they weren't great looks. Brown's plan was to give up looks to Kromah; an average at best outside shooter. SMU switched on all our screens with bigger, equally athletic guards, and challenged someone else to hit shots. It's not a groundbreaking defensive plan, but KO had no answers or wrinkles to combat it. It's partly due to our lack of personnel (ballhandlers/creators) but the face remains that we played SMU twice this year and in both games looked absolutely putrid in the half court set. Not a coincidence.
