Moved up 4 spots to 34 in KenPom. Also Baylor and Texas won, and are #26 and #29 in KenPom currently. Gonzaga is 10th.

So currently, UConn has 4 top 30 KenPom wins. 3 out of the 4 are road/neutral. Big chances upcoming with St. John's (#17) and Creighton (#33).

Will update NET in the morning.

Vibes are strong for an 8-seed? Without considering the obvious floor, what’s our ceiling?

Frothily keeps the top 25 streak going. I’d say it likely catapults us away from the 8/9 line where just about everyone has us and likely on the 7. There is no good reason to want Auburn or Duke any earlier than we have to. That is going to be a really, really good win for the resume.

Technically our ceiling is winning out. If we did that I’d say it’s a 2 seed. We’d be 28-6, win BE reg and tournament.

Realistically, let’s call it losing at StJ, at Creighton and one more (at PC?), getting to BE finals, 24-10, I’d say around a 6.

Id sign up for a 6 seed. Avoid playing 1-8 early. Allow McNeeley to integrate himself.

To get to Providence, I'm thinking they have to be no worse than a 4 seed.

Yeah I think the 4 guarantees us Prov. My guess is we’d have to finish with no more than 8 losses to get there.

It starts Friday. StJ is likely to jump into the top ten for that game, which becomes another opportunity. Gampel is going to be on fire after the Marquette win, Liam back and playing a top ten StJ/Pitino.

Who do we want to win the Marquette & StJ game Tuesday? On one hand a StJ win may give them some hangover for our game. Marquette winning balances out the conference standings.

UConn will be the most difficult team to seed. My guess is we get seeded higher than the metrics suggest.

Yes!!! The only problem today is no NFL and the only BE game to watch is Depaul/Hall.
I think a repeat of last night's game is the plan.

First Sunday with no NFL -going through football withdraw but today is still a good day after last night—— huuuuuuggggeee win. I guess this is what Sunday’s feel like for people who don’t watch football. Weird. Lol

I can see getting an extra line out of respect and because of Liam’s injury.

There’s no way they punish Auburn or Duke by putting us in there bracket.

Great win last night, but I’m not sure that beating a top 10 team on the road and going up only four spots in KenPom is a commensurate reward. But the ESPN number is a plus.

The eye test with McNeeley back is going to be huge for us. If we look really, really good with him a lot of what happened without him will get discounted.

I’d prefer a 6 to a 5 so we avoid a 1 seed until the elite 8. I might even prefer a 6 to a 4 this year. I dont think its worth playing in providence for the first two rounds if it means we have to play Duke in Jersey in the sweet 16

Is it possible to get a 4 or 5 seed in providence but not be in the East? That would be best case scenario

Sure, but the less likely they put a higher seed in an opponent home game atmosphere in round two. Providence is an hour away, not materially different than if it was in Hartford. Hard to penalize the 4 seed.

We have never beaten the Creighton Barrels in Resume Speed, Nebraska ( or wherever).

They are playing their 2 toughest games in a row the second one with us only 2 days later. That could take it out of them a bit. I don’t care about the standings at this point, just want to beat them because besides the loss it’s a psychological dagger to them going forward.
