Good breakdown for next season and AK talk

What a stupid comment. Doesn't even make sense as well as being snotty.
Yeah, as a former adjunct professor I take a little offense. Tenured...with tenure a professor usually (differs depending on U) has to royally mess up to be dismissed.

But with McNeeley and Diarra healthy it was a top 5-15 offense (hard to gauge exactly but it was somewhere in there). So it was not "easy to guard." It was just easier than the championship teams. I'm not worried at all about the offense.

The defense I agree on though. Hopefully Demary/Smith at least defend the POA and Ball/Stewart improve. Not much else you can hope for there.
Probably top 5. You can see the effect on Torvik's page. Duke had the #1 offense with an efficiency of 130.6. Uconn's 5 game average was at 129 when McNeeley went down and was down to 112 before it started to pick back up again at the end of February. And that wasn't even caused by McNeeley's offensive efficiency, because he wasn't particularly efficient.

Finally got around to watching this. They don't mention Demary much. I think his addition is a game changer for the entire team but they don't get into that at all.

Where do you see even 10 min of avail time at the 4? if AK plays 30 then Stew plays the other 10.
We need more muscle. Danny’s dad would be the first one to tell you that. We also need someone to bang inside so all the fouls are not on Reed. Reed is our best player and we need to be smart about his defensive matchups so he can play enough minutes.

I understand, but where do get minutes for a top level transfer? I get another C, but a 4? How?

Agree about protecting Reed. Ultimately toughness on the glass and defense decides a lot. You are suggesting someone to play alongside Reed, if that is the case who loses minutes?

If everyone currently on the roster plays to our 3xpectstions as fans, stays healthy and stays out of foul trouble, there aren't minutes to be had.
But when was the last time a team went the whole season of healthy, productive and out of foul trouble.
Long story short..... they won't play 10 minutes every game but we want someone who can play 10 productive minutes when it's next man up time.

Of course, but the point is that's a really hard sell to a transfer. Saying you're not gonna play most games but if we have injuries or we get into foul trouble you'll get a few minutes is not appealing. There's a reason it was Youssouf Singare in that role the past 2 years

Agree. But my point was more about why would someone who is a high level 4 want to come here with so little PT theoretically available

It’s a great point - not sure why anyone would hit the portal to ride pine. There has to be some carrot out there for them to come. To me, that’s probably a senior with limited accepted upside that is willing to play a role at a chance of being part of a winner. Or a young big with upside willing the develop for a year.

Yup. And those are guys a lot of top tier programs would love to have. Not sure how many of them r out there

I find the idea that WE cost Karaban his 7 figure NBA deal pretty funny. He’d be in the NBA this upcoming year if he made his open shots. Thats nobodies fault but his.
