Gee where are these posters coming from….I’ve been around since the mid 90ies and don’t recognize to many of the names, guess we have had an influx due to UConn’s success..

I see the comments and player movement suggestions, and who is what .. who didn’t do what .. and who what … remember before you violate the “Three “C’s”..Please remember your talking about a non profession, non-paid student athletic...Who is trying at the very best of her present God-Given abilities. So enough of the..Criticizing…Commending...and Complaining”….lets stick to the game.

And sometimes I wonder if we are talking about the same game of basketball…?? I wonder how many have played the game professionally, in college...in high School..???

But going back a year the “The Bone Yard Senior Philosophers”, all agreed that it was going to be a tough rebuilding year..We agreed it could be 6-8 in the lost column.

The whole idea was predicated upon not the talent, certainly not the coaching, not the lack of position players, not the lack of the bench, but there was two voids, one glaring … so we sat back and watched….and until this day they still exist….

No I’m not going to tell you what they are..Don’t ask Tony C he won’t tell you…you can figure it out….

Go back to the first defeat and follow the defeats and the very close games and study it carefully and you’ll figure it out…

Who am I …well I’m just a white boy who could put his elbow into the basket and who had BP of the ole Saint Louis Hawks drive me into the third row after I stole his basketball!!!!

And remember they are going to do “Just Fine”..you can take that to the bank!!
Good Luck…!!!

Geno did say on one of his shows, "That these players are being paid. The University is paying for their education with scholarships." You do make some good points, though.

Bill, I don't recognize your name. Are you a new Moderator of this forum?

Also, am wondering what, "Let's stick to the game" reference means? You don't want anyone to say anything critical or complementary about the players. What do you suggest folks here talk about? I presume the "two voids" you mention are not player related in any way. I'll have to think back to my many years of playing BB to divine an answer.

I believe you mean mid 1990s when you say "90ies"? Yes, like you, many people became fans in the mid 90s jumping on the band wagon after the leaner years of '91 & '92. Many more people become fans every year. To me, that's a good thing.

I'm not sure what playing the game has to do with the ability to make valid comments here. Many coaches didn't play the game. Lou Carnasecca, Tom Crean come to mind. Also there are many former players that couldn't coach. Clyde Drexler is a good example. (I do believe Marv Albert shouldn't be allowed to talk about basketball, because he never played).

Putting your elbow in the basket - doesn't that hurt? Ouch! I too got in trouble for stealing a basketball. I was grounded for a week when Dennis Miller's father came to our house to reclaim the ball!!!!
