I've been a Yankee fan since before Mickey retired and I've felt for decades that they've gone too far with this.

If it we up to me the retired numbers would be:

2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 15, 16, 37, 42

I would consider something like a wall of honor for the bulk of the remaining numbers from the retired list but even with that there are a couple that I'm not sure belong, especially as some players from the mid 1920's to the mid 1960's dynasties would be more deserving. Unfortunately, as they predated Steinbrenner's ownership they aren't viewed as significant.
You wouldn't retire 44?

The only team that should retire his number is the A's. He was an Angel every bit as long as he was a Yankee and he was an A for as long as he was a Yankee and Angel combined.

Should the Reds consider retiring Tom Seaver's #41?

I think Reggie did more for the Yankees than Seaver did for the Mets.

What is the smallest country in the world to produce a professional athlete (MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, WNBA)?

Two professional athletes hit a bird. Name each.

I believe it's San Marino.

The Atlanta Hawks at one time had a God a Priest and a Christian who were these 3 players, by their first and last names.

Jesus.

That's the Alou brothers... In at least one game, they played all three positions in the outfield, I think for the Giants.

They look at this as a rivalry game. We don’t.

Which Husky said it and in what context?

What family has had multiple (most) members play at the highest level in any Olympic sport? This includes the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, Olympic teams, and any NCAA championship team, etc.

Who is the only athlete to be drafted in the 3 major sports leagues?
Walt Dropo, but I doubt that he's the only one.

Lauderdale and Laettner are the last two. Shammgod never played for Hawks, so no idea on first.
