Larry Brown had the anti Kentucky mojo all season long, in November he said ""I take their first and second teams and split them up, they'd probably have the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation," Brown told USA Today. "John should go 45-0 with that talent."

In March, after Kentucky goes undefeated in the regular season, Larry ups the ante with this gem "I honestly believe Kentucky would make the NBA Playoffs in the East"

We owe a LOT to Mr. Brown for his tenacity in working the mojo against Cal and his so called dream team.

To the man who deserves all of the credit, THANK YOU LARRY BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great pic BTW......

The entire media was calling this UK team the greatest of all time. Much like Duke in '99 (:D) and UNLV in '91. You get to the FF with this hype, you gotta win it all.

Just shows you how silly (and short-termed memory) the media is.

No team is unbeatable.

Would it be too far a stretch to call him an American hero? He lifted the baton, and took personal responsibility for jinxing the Squid. His jinxing was prolific and should be a case-study for years to come.

No, it can't be a stretch. I would argue that it doesn't go far enough. We can all rest easy at night knowing, that in our darkest hours, when Kentucky has amassed another McD's dream team, that he will be there to throw karmic destruction into the path of our greatest enemies.

We should not be just sitting here typing his praises into a keyboard, we should be out, building a statute in his honor. Or at the very least, knitting him a cape to wear.
