Gus Johnson: “Gillespie always pushes off with that arm and never gets called.”

Unreal. Credit to him for those backbreaker threes but the dude got away with more push-offs than James Harden on his best night.

This was infuriating...as was the fact that he was out there bleeding all over everyone. Dont they have a rule against that? I may have attended too many blood born pathogen seminars.

Again, flashbacks to Gillespie stiff arming and shouldering Gilbert last year and getting no calls. Maybe that's why today our defenders didn't want to bump him back too much because they were getting called for so many nickel and dimers.

Gillespie should of fouled out. Stiff arms , push offs. Actual straight arm push to Cole. Blatant., in the clear. A blind person could of seen those.

again, you arent going to win games by not scoring points. Yeah the refs were trash but the offense look absolutely terrible in the second half. Beyond Bouknight not hitting anything, we had no one step up.
Great observation. Kind of hard when there’s no flow and half the team is on the bench

Like the refs werent causing UConn to shoot 36%. Villanova was pretty cold as well and we couldnt even take advantage of that.
No one is arguing that. We didn’t adjust and our offense did look like crap. But you can’t ignore that role the refs played

Complete nonsense. This was a textbook game from Gillespie for anyone who has watched him and Nova. They just outtoughed, outsmarted, and outbettered us overall. From coaching to the players.

We had no answer and no solid gameplan for him. He killed us and has killed us repeatedly.

Bouk would have benefitted in the second half if he did more posting up to create different looks for himself and the team.

Hated the push-offs by Gillespie, should’ve been fouls. But he was slippery with getting to the rim and knocking down those daggers.

wish we had hasheem today or someone who could have helped down low.

He's a slow white guy that can't jump, so they let him play like that

It's only fair

Generally speaking one or two real hard fouls can slow down the shoulder and forearm push offs.

Not John Chaney send in the goons type fouling but legit, hard basketball fouls.
Or one throat punch.
