Giants need to seriously clean house. Coaching staff and operations staff. But they need someone better than John Mara making decisions on replacements for leadership positions.

I’m ok either way with Schoen as some picks have been very good even late picks. But I’m not ok at all not getting Bowen the hell outta there. The defense has lost 3-4 games by changing late game strategy with leads and I think they have decent good talent on D but he makes all the wrong calls. Get him out and stop giving so much space to receivers.

I am concerned about the defensive personnel. Maybe its coaching but boy this D is not built to stop the run

It's absolutely not built to stop the run.

Regardless of who runs the defense next season, we mist likely will continue to to run a five DB system as our base defense and logically the front will be two DT's and two (traditional 3-4) OLB's playing DE.

What we will need is a) a poor man's Dexter Lawrence as our second DT (maybe a second round pick could fill this role) and a rotation where two of Burns, Thibodeaux and Carter at DE and the third as one if our two LB's, switching off at different times as the two in DE spots will be giving away 55+ lbs to the lineman across from him. This will keep our best players on the field for most plays and as each has experience dropping in coverage they could pull this off.

There is some legitimate talent in our defensive front but we're often scheming considerable size mismatched up front and we seem to dismiss the possibility of the opponent running the ball in many cases where the run us still an option.
