You can be such a killjoy. No, I do not think a player decides to slump.Do you really think a player decides to slump?

Azzi Fudd, Kayleigh Heckel, Sarah Strong:
Sara was 3 assists short of a triple double in 23 minutes every player would like to slump like thatWere we just sluggish in the first period or were they really on? Actually lots of good things in the box score. Q's steals to t/o ratio 4 to 1. Pretty good. Though I wonder why rebounds are light. Has Sarah broken her spirit or is she just playing mostly out of range? On the first period, we have done this more than a few times. Regular season OK. NCAAs no so OK. We may go into the NCAAs with the most rested starting 5 in college ball. Wondering some on KK in this game. Sareh hit a couple of shots but didn't stay long. In 3 minutes Kellis sure got things moving. Allie decided to slump. Kayleigh and Ash just keep on trucking. Has Sarah gone into a minisophomore slump. I know, she was a rebounding fiend. Am I a spoiled Husky fan? Absolutely, but it is all their fault.
Come on, KK may not have had one of her better offensive performances but she still had 4 assists (could have been 8 easily but several perfect dishes were not converted) and no turnovers and was the major disruptor on defense as usual. Nothing against Kaleigh but to suggest she is a better passer or distributor or that KK’s job as lead point guard or starter is in jeopardy to her or anyone else as has been suggested at least twice now is unfathomable. She is the best all around point guard in the country imo and let’s not forget that she has proven herself already in the last 2 ncaa tournaments where she excelled in the highest level pressure games.K9 does seem the superior distributor, which will be a bigger factor when the offense isn't just Sarah and Azzi playing off each other.
I like that they both bring different elements to the position, though. It allows Geno to change the look with only a like-for-like type (PG for PG) and not going big or small or something more dramatic.
Like the old joke: a middle-aged violinist approaches a young man on the streets of New York and inquires: "Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to Carnegie Hall?". "Practice, man, practice."Someone illuminate me. With 6 minutes left and up 30 points they're still in full court pressure defense. How come?
Do you want to be illuminated ,or is it you just wanted to find something to complain about like you usually do?Someone illuminate me. With 6 minutes left and up 30 points they're still in full court pressure defense. How come?

Getting ready for March Madness!Someone illuminate me. With 6 minutes left and up 30 points they're still in full court pressure defense. How come?
7:30 PM Eastern. TNT for those of us watching on TV.My early season schedule does not show the time for Sunday's game. What is it?
Thanks.
When K9 plays like she did yesterday I truly believe that she can be the new scoring guard because she is the only guard, besides Azzi and Ash, in our double high post offense who can make a three and also use her quickness to dribble around the high post screener and get into the lane for the pull-up jumper that Azzi has perfected. She is also so quick and in control on the break where she finds Allie open for her 3ball, which Allie needs to be effective.K9 looks like she is working on her shooting. 100% tonight: 4/4 from the field.
1/1 from 3-point land, and 2/2 from the foul line.
In her first appearance in the game, Geno took her out after a couple of minutes and said something to her on the bench. Does anyone know what that was about??

@boontonbomber .... try to keep up.Someone illuminate me. With 6 minutes left and up 30 points they're still in full court pressure defense. How come?
I don't think it has to be 1 player. We have gotten a few times this year, besides Fudd and Strong, 2-3 double digit scorers. But they tend to be different players, game to game. As long as we can get 2-3 in double digits after Fudd and Strong...we should be fine. Our bigs need to rebound better and play more aggressive with shots around the hoop. They pass up a lot of open shooting opportunities that might put them on the line as well. They also need to keep the ball higher but mostly take it down when quick guards can steal or tie it up. This is late in the season for continued questionable play from our centers.
The 4th quarter was sloppy with too much forced passing when the shooting opportunity was clear.
When our quick team is on the court we come up with many tie-ups and much better flow. Love the impressive squaring up and fast releases of Azzie and Sarah. Ash looked for her shot with good success. We need a more consistent third scorer as that need isn't being met from our centers. Even when they receive a pass in good position, they have trouble scoring. Geno's facial expressions with some of our center's efforts appears strained when the cameras pan to him.
The teams immediately behind UConn are. UCLA, SC, Texas, and Vanderbilt are playing really well offensively. They all look good and will be hard to beat. One more regular season game and then on to the Big East Tournament. Seems to me like the last few weeks of the season have been a grind. With the chance to take a break and refocus, I think the team will go into the BE and NCAA tournaments with much more energy and sharp performances. If you look around at other games, many other teams out there aren't playing at peak performance right now either.
?? I was making a dry joke about Allie, not Sarah. I'm not quite that dumb, though that has been a point of debate in a number of circles.Sara was 3 assists short of a triple double in 23 minutes every player would like to slump like that
Give it your best shot.Do you want to be illuminated ,or is it you just wanted to find something to complain about like you usually do?
