Think Karaban is hung up on the missed FTs? :) great game by AK

Solo continues to shoot the lights out. I'm a HUGE fan of his newfound ability to get into the lane and hit that short midrange

Diarra had a bad first half, but excellent jobs by Mahaney for holding it down early in the half and Ahmad Nowell for giving solid minutes late in the half

Great work on defense. Cooley didn't run much real offense and told his guys to just try to beat UConn 1 on 1. Everyone stepped up to the challenge, GTown shot under 40%

Tarris beat him up a bit in the second half, but I really like Thomas Sorber. If he sticks around, he's going to be a solid player for GTown. Is he on mock draft boards?

That's how you bounce back. Go on the road and run them out of their own gym. That was nice of Hurley to let them get it to single digits in what felt like a 20pt win. Let's go Huskies!

AK shook off and took off. Best part of the game!

Loved Nowell's minutes, wish Danny to have Nowell in if all his plan is to run the clock down.

Well our "prevent defense" was a -16 in the last 8 min. Kind of took the shine off this one.

I am grateful that AN put some things on tape and we tried almost every lineup in the book.

Samson was mostly a plus, solid defense and really good rebounding. He had more that he kept alive. Win, get better, and move on.

All around the best we played all season when it mattered. The defense hasn't been there all season and it was stifling today.

The last 8 minutes reminded me of the Georgia Tech title game where the coach took the air out of the ball way too early. I hate that but whatever, we played great when it mattered.

Big bounce back from AK, Samson was great, Ross gave us good minutes.

Sloppy first half, great second 15 or so, and then yuck. I get it was a big lead but Hass…. What was that?

Still a great reminder of how good this team is when they’re on.
I'm sure there's going to be a lot of discussion on this topic. IMO, that's on Hurley, not Hass. We started to bleed the clock with over 6 minutes remaining and a 20 point win turned into an 8 point victory.

A lot of his coaching is about instilling a killer instinct. This wasn't that.

Great performance to start the second half though. And I love how Donny and Brando kept complimenting the Gtown fans for something approaching a sell-out. Give those fans a participation trophy.

Burn the last 8:22 of game tape.

Honestly I disagree strongly with the coaching strategy to take the air out of the ball the last 8min. Hurley has been whining all year that this team "doesn't have a killer instinct". So let them keep the darn foot on the gas the whole game then. Bury them by 40.

Hurley has always done this. Nothing to see here

Great game by Ball and glad to see the bounce back by Karaban. Didn't love the end either, but I'll take a win against a hungry GT at home - their crowd was pretty impressive considering where it was just a year ago, it's one thing to have numbers it is another to make some noise.

It’s always been his strategy. We just don’t have Tristen Newton or cam Spencer to go one on one and get a bucket with the clock winding down

As aware as Hurley is of the computer numbers and what they mean for seeding purposes I never understood why he goes to prevent offense with a lead when the team already burns up plenty of clock as is running their normal halfcourt offense. They could still play as they normally do and get a great shot instead of just holding the ball and making a mess of things like they did the last 4-5 minutes. It also wrecked Diarra's statline.

Not scoring for the last 3:30 and letting them go on a 9-0 run to end the game was my only gripe. A better team might make those closing seconds more dicey in a similar situation.

Good bounce back game for Karaban. As I predicted. :)

Ross looked better today. Good to see.

Still need more Nowell. Made a mistake or two but he looks relatively comfortable in there.

Kind of sloppy all around but that big run to start the 2nd half was good enough.

A week to work on some things and then Creighton at home.

Why was the strategy to literally stop running offense in the last 6 minutes, Diarra chuck prayers, and then do incessant offense defense substitutions for Ball and Stewart???

Glad we won, but a lick of effort there would’ve been a 25 point win and a real boost to the metrics. No killer instinct

We definitely missed the opportunity to teach them killer instinct. We just simply ran our offense at 80% speed the last 8 min, nobody got better in that duration. What a waste.

That last 5 minutes was so digusting To watch. I said it last game and I am saying it again. End of the shot clock situation are not Hass’ forte. As much as we love him. He is just not that guy.

Also you get up 20+ gotta keep up the intensity, this team is a bit too relaxed in those situations.

Did like what I saw out of Ross and Mahaney today. Nowell gave some great minutes you could see he doesn’t have the grasp of the offense quite yet so I understand his limites minutes. Reed doing a job doing what he does.

The defense overall was excellent.

Nice to see the Alex Karaban we've seen for the last 2 years.

Ross gave some nice minutes.

Again, when Diarra is going bad, it really hurts the team. And when's he's good, the team plays very well. Hope Nowell continues to get more minutes and he looked solid.
