There is actually new evidence that show vaccines very possibly do prevent infection. Their still studying, but thoughts on that might be changing.

You can still get Covid but the chances of getting sick/symptoms are basically zero and it looks more and more like you don't transmit it to the unvaccinated. Thank god for vaccines.

I'm not betting on anything.

Statistically speaking if he has had two shots of the vaccination, he should have very mild to no symptoms, feel fine in a few days and be near impossible for him to pass it on to anyone else.

But, there is still a full range of possibilities from no symptoms to death. Pretty big range there.

The covid vaccine is just like every other vaccine or natural anti-body that has ever existed in the history of life on this planet. Vaccines / antibodies do not prevent people from carrying the disease if exposed. Vaccines / antibodies help your body fight the disease if you do get exposed. We have tons of different bacteria and viruses that live within our bodies but do not make us sick because we can fight them off.

Remember what happened to the Native Americans? They got destroyed by deadly diseases that the Europeans were naturally immune to, but still carried in their bodies.

This isn't covid specific, I'm just flabbergasted that people don't know how antibodies work. It's 6th grade biology. Good lord. Stop listening to "experts" on CNN or Fox News. If it seems like those idiots on cable TV always seem to be changing the "science", it's because they want to keep their viewers coming back. Both sides do it. There might be "novel" viruses, but the way the human immune system defends against viruses and infections will always be the same.
