The '18 team was the best UConn team not to win the championship imo. Maybe the '01 team as well, but Taurasi was still just a freshman that year.
The 2000-2001 team might be the most talented ever. Six eventual first round WNBA picks (including two #1's), and there might have been seven if injuries hadn't derailed Shea Ralph. Abrosimova was one of the two best players in Division 1 (vying with Catchings) before she got hurt, and they also had the five players who were the core of a 39-0 team a year later. And they still came within 20 minutes of playing for the national championship, leading Notre Dame by 15 before an inexplicable 2nd half collapse.
