Geno explained it in the postgame presser the other night. He said that Walz was shorthanded and there was no way Louisville was going to win by running up and down the court with the Huskies. The only chance the Cards had was to make the game as ugly as possible, which is what they did. Geno's beef wasn't with Jeff Walz; it was with the refs.I have a hard time understanding Geno's warm remarks concerning Jeff in the light of the bludgeoning of our team the other day. Does he hold Walz blameless for that?
Yes, it will be shown Saturday at 3:00, and again on February 18th at 3:00 P.M.I read somewhere that Saturday's Geno show will be the replay of Geno Live which was held yesterday in Hartford. Set your DVRs!
Actually, I believe officials do what they are told to do. That's why certain officials show up for certain games. Some are better at it than others . This goes for all sports. Geno knows what's going on. So do the players. Only the fans are naive.Geno explained it in the postgame presser the other night. Injuries are my main concern in a game like that. Sure, I like to see "some" body contact, and every small infraction of contact cannot be called. Any coach who sees his players being knocked and thrown around (in a more than usual way) and doesn't think the opposing coach approves of such play is holding back his true emotions and will "get even" a little further down the line.
I don't know if it has ever happened, but some day I would like to see a coach whose team is subjected to brutality take his team off the court and go to the locker room.
Frustration leads to bullying, and you see it in every sport.
