This is going to sound horribly sexist, I realize, but I mean it as a complement: if you blurred out her head in the video above, you would think we were watching video of a 5-star male recruit. I always felt the same way about Taurasi, who I love. I think it's even more pronounced with this girl. The handle, the physical strength, the way she moves, shoots, all of it.

Yes, I forgot Batouly Camera, a forward. Geno recruited her out of high school but she went to Kentucky. A surprising number of girls go somewhere else, thinking they're not good enough for UConn but this kid got a second chance and good for her.

I'm shocked he got Walker - I thought the AAC might be catching up with us and that she'd go to Notre Dame.

It's not that she's the best player in her class, she's been the best high school player in any class for the past three years or so.

Call me crazy, but I like good news involving UConn.

It's not sexist; it's a compliment and one I agree with. Geno always gave Taurasi his highest compliment, that she plays like a man. That's not sexist either because men are raised to think achievement in athletics is desirable while women aren't. She's special for reaching beyond the stereotype.
