Geno regarding the Huskies’ Class of 2025 signees: “We’re not done yet.”

I'm surprised. Only person I belive were still in on was Agot Makeer, and it sounds like she never visited us. Wonder if maybe its another international player?

I figured he was talking about someone else other than who has signed a letter of intent or verballed (Blanca). But I could be wrong. I didn't hear the actual interview, saw this on Twitter.

I thought Geno said something similar when we were waiting on El Alfy tbh. We were waiting for it to become official first.

I don't think that(below)...is happening but funny. I think it is either Blanca or some November surprise international, if anything. Not done yet isn't a guarantee, just that they are still working.

I didn't hear the show, but if Geno talks about Kellis and Gandy but doesn't mention Blanca yet for the class of 2025, then i think it is clear he is waiting for her to sign first. That is the way he usually does it, talk about them only after they sign. If, however, he was talking about Blanca along with Kellis and Gandy as the class of 2025, and then says we are not done yet, that is entirely different.

In that case maybe Agot or a foreign player is still in the mix..

Geno's normal custom is not to talk about anyone in the new recruiting class until ALL of its members have signed. I didn't hear the radio show either, but I would be surprised if he talked about Kelis or Gandy before Blanca had signed, and he isn't allowed to talk about Blanca while she remains unsigned.

Obviously I don't know whether "not done" refers to Blanca or to some fourth player, but I would be inclined to suspect the former.

Geno cannot talk about Blanca until UConn has received her LOI. She has committed, but not signed. I expect she will sign by Wednesday, the last day of the early signing period.

In terms of others, there may be a surprise. We may hear something soon. Or maybe later.

This comes after the Huskies signed point guard Kelis Fisher, wing Blanca Quinonez, and post Gandy Malou Mamel. “I think we’ve got a pretty good mix of athletes coming in,”

What my network has told me is Texas A&M has gotten into the fray (and given the fact that their alums ponied up significant NIL money for Jumbo Fisher, I am thinking a significant amount of money was postulated). But what the post by @bschwartz hints at is she's rethinking the "short term" money for the long play that by maybe picking another school like UConn, she could make even more money by becoming an elite basketball player (which is not going to happen playing for Joni Taylor). It will be curious to see how this all plays out.

While I was initially repulsed by the $1 Mil demand and while I tend to believe it, we do need to see what occurs.

I am willing to forgive if she signs with UConn- I know, it's very magnanimous of me....

I’m curious why would you would be repulsed
By her wanting to maximize the $ she can earn?

not happening...........although I'd certainly be thrilled if she woke up and chose UConn.......
