After going to Texas they visited D'Ja Wilson a 6'4" forward from South Carolina. She is ranked number 1 by All Star Girls Report in the class of 2014. A wow type of player.
i really like hearing him going all over on the recruiting trail right now. it seems like 2013 potentially could be a very small class and if they miss out, 2014 will be a big year...I heard from a good source that Geno will be (is) in California for recruiting. I imagine CD will be with him.
A'ja is variously listed as 6'3", 6'4" or 6'6". She is listed as a guard and she credits her dad (6'8" and a former player) with moving her from the post to the wing. And she aspires to be an Olympian.
Yep. Too bad he didn't get a gold medal. He could wear it to home visits.I believe that Geno was quoted as saying that now that his national team responsibilities are done, he can focus on UConn and the players. Looks like he is back jumping into recruiting with great energy.
Someone needs to put a GPS transmitter on his briefcase. It's not easy keeping track of Geno's and CD's whereabouts, or Shea's and Marissa's for that matter. Unlike coaches for many (most?) top Div 1 programs, the UConn coaches do not tweet about their travels or the players they visited. We have to rely on the bloggers and tweets from others to let us know where they've been and which players they're looking at.
If we get Recee' Caldwell and A'ja Wilson, we'll have an all-apostrophe team!
They will fit well with Ka'leena!!!! Brea'nna!!!! And Mo'riah!!!!
ASGR lists her as a wing forward (and a lefty).
ESPN/Hoopgurlz lists her as a combo forward.
I wonder if Geno is going on a home visit with Erica McCall 2013 who is from California.
I had forgotten that Karlie transferred to Mater Dei.Maybe. He'll be stopping by Mater Dei HS (Samuelson '15) and perhaps Drummer's ('14) HS as well.

A Kendall Cooper visit??
That's disappointing about Cooper.Katie Lou did too.
UConn is not in on Cooper. I'm told Duke leads for her.
Has there ever been a Uconn recruiting class of 6? There has been a 5 member class. That's disappointing about Cooper.
I think we need 4-7 players from 2013 and 2014 combined. If 2013 is light, we need a class of up to 6 in 2014.
I read that Samuelson has the grades to get into Stanford. With her two sisters going to Stanford, it isn't likely Samuelson would be coming to Uconn.Maybe. He'll be stopping by Mater Dei HS (Samuelson '15) and perhaps Drummer's ('14) HS as well.
