Games tonight (11/16)

Michigan had 37 in the first half and 12 in the second half. Were they playing UConn in the second half? ;)

The second half was 42-12. Brutal, just brutal!

I didn't watch the second half, but 23 TOs for the game was a big problem.

Sabally has 0 points and 4 turnovers. Ionescu has 0 points, but 7 assists. TAMU leads at the half.

Ionescu is ice-cold on her shot but has 7 assists at the half.
Ruthy Hebard had 9 points in the 1st quarter but then went to the bench with 2 fouls.
A&M's pressure defense is bothering Oregon.

Michigan leads 37-32 at the half. Louisville is clanking jump shots. Durr is 1-9. I'm not impressed.

Chennedy Carter is really good. That jump shot has the highest arc I have ever seen. I think OSU may be in trouble.

OSU? You mean Oregon?

I guess Sabally is still getting used to the way travels are called in the States.

Oregon pulling ahead 46-42. Ionescu works hard without the ball on offense.

It feels like Oregon is playing bad but they're putting together flurries of good play to take the lead. Ionescu finally finds her shot.

Triple-double alert: Ionescu has 9 assists, 7 points, 7 rebounds.
Double-double alert: Hebard has 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Oregon up 56-48 at the end of 3. I was put off by Ionescu's recruiting shenanigans - dragging it out, switching back & forth, "give a scholly to my brother," etc. But I'm warming up to her - she's a badass.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Missouri is down 65-59 at the end of 3Q to Wright State.

.-.
What a pass by Ionescu! For her 10th assist. And Oregon is pulling away 64-51.

Does your regular subscription package (cable, satellite, or online) include the SEC Network?
Yes. I finally got to the WatchESPN via my TV browser, found the game and was able to hear the game, but no picture, just a black screen under the game title...

Oh boy. That's a new one for me. Hmm.

She sure took her time. Maybe her parents were over-involved. But she's a player.

.-.
Oregon was the steadier and more composed team in the 2nd half and wins by 15.
Hebard finished with 24 points, 10 of 10 from the field.
Ionescu with another triple-double: 16 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds. Imagine if she were shooting the ball well (she was 3 of 14 from the field).
Ten Oregon players finished with double-figure points.

Oregon now plays at Louisville on Sunday.

Hmmmm...OK. Not to nitpick, but if 10 Oregon players each scored a minimum of 10 points, and one of them was Ionescu with 16, then how did Oregon only score 83 total points?

I think you mean 5 players. They scored 83, so 10 is not mathematically possible.

Carter had 23 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists. Not too shabby!

Sabally was scoreless.

Oregon has 25 assists on 31 made baskets.
Just to correct Plebes post. Only 5 players had double figures in points.

Ha, naw she's just loose with her pivot foot.
One of the four was an obvious Euro-step. One official was calling the traveling very tight at the start of the game. Other Ducks were called on travelings which I didn't see. Three of Sabally's were definitely legit but one along with multiple calls on other ducks I also didn't see. Graves just pulled her after the fourth one and never put her back in.

The refs may have gotten into her head. I think that happened to Charde a few times.

Carter was great. She is fearless. If some of her teammates finished her assists, it may have been different outcome.

Actually, game time has changed to 3:00 p.m. sonthat CBS sports can pick it up.

Looking forward to this. Our gals got off to slow start, but turned up the D in the second half and had a fantastic 2nd half.

Our freshman PG Diana Evans is impressing. Her defensive effort , 3 games into her collegiate career, has been impressive. It wasn’t until she got in the game that anyone could stop Flaherty. Flaherty has 17 prs @ roughly 8:00 minute mark in 2 Q, finished with 23. Evans made her life very difficult.

In her first 3 college games, Carter has had:
15 points, 5 assists vs. Houston
18 points, 3 assists vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
23 points, 7 assists vs. Oregon

If she continues at this pace (19 ppg and 5 apg), she will be in the running for NFOY.

Based on what I saw over the summer with USA basketball I am not surprised one bit.
