Games tonight (11/16)

Oregon was the steadier and more composed team in the 2nd half and wins by 15.
Hebard finished with 24 points, 10 of 10 from the field.
Ionescu with another triple-double: 16 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds. Imagine if she were shooting the ball well (she was 3 of 14 from the field).
Ten Oregon players finished with double-figure points.

Oregon now plays at Louisville on Sunday.
I think you mean 5 players. They scored 83, so 10 is not mathematically possible.

Carter had 23 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists. Not too shabby!

Sabally was scoreless.

Oregon has 25 assists on 31 made baskets.
Just to correct Plebes post. Only 5 players had double figures in points.

Ha, naw she's just loose with her pivot foot.
One of the four was an obvious Euro-step. One official was calling the traveling very tight at the start of the game. Other Ducks were called on travelings which I didn't see. Three of Sabally's were definitely legit but one along with multiple calls on other ducks I also didn't see. Graves just pulled her after the fourth one and never put her back in.

The refs may have gotten into her head. I think that happened to Charde a few times.

Hmmmm...OK. Not to nitpick, but if 10 Oregon players each scored a minimum of 10 points, and one of them was Ionescu with 16, then how did Oregon only score 83 total points?
Ha, sorry. I meant to say five players. I got my tens and my fives mixed up. :)

Carter was great. She is fearless. If some of her teammates finished her assists, it may have been different outcome.

Actually, game time has changed to 3:00 p.m. sonthat CBS sports can pick it up.

Looking forward to this. Our gals got off to slow start, but turned up the D in the second half and had a fantastic 2nd half.

Our freshman PG Diana Evans is impressing. Her defensive effort , 3 games into her collegiate career, has been impressive. It wasn’t until she got in the game that anyone could stop Flaherty. Flaherty has 17 prs @ roughly 8:00 minute mark in 2 Q, finished with 23. Evans made her life very difficult.

In her first 3 college games, Carter has had:
15 points, 5 assists vs. Houston
18 points, 3 assists vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
23 points, 7 assists vs. Oregon

If she continues at this pace (19 ppg and 5 apg), she will be in the running for NFOY.

Based on what I saw over the summer with USA basketball I am not surprised one bit.

Ionescu has 6 triple doubles 3 games into her Soph year. This is getting kinda ridiculous. I wonder how many she's gonna have by the time she graduates. Did it back to back games, are you kidding? I know you all love Gabby's all around game, but you have to be impressed with Sabrina's stat stuffing.

12 second half points for Michigan? Holy cow. Did anybody see the game? Was Louisville's defense really impressive?

She was my prediction early on. She'll get PT and have the ball in her hands. Plus, she's really good.

I saw on the Pac-12 Network tonight that she has now *tied* the Pac-12 record for career triple-doubles. I wonder what the NCAA record is?

Hebard was a perfect 10 of 10 from the field, and she does a great job of finishing at the rim, but at least half of those buckets were off of these amazing, savvy, spectacular dime assists from Ionescu.

I watched the first half before switching to the Oregon-A&M game. I'm not terribly shocked because in the 2nd quarter you could see Louisville figuring out how to defend Flaherty and generally taking Michigan out of its offense (causing multiple shot-clock violations, for example). Thome was completely outplayed by Hines-Allen on both ends of the court and ended up fouling out with 6 points and 1 rebound.

Hebard looks alot faster than she did against UConn in the playoffs last year.

Oh boy. That's a new one for me. Hmm.

I was able to watch it ( espn3 )with no problems. That's the first time I heard of someone getting a black screen.:(

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that she’s playing against slower players at TAMU.

Defense has never been a strong suit, as all players have not bought into it.
In Walz’s 11 years, I have never seen a defensive effort like I did in the 2nd half. It was UConn-lite.
More impressive, the team was amped about defense, which again I have not seen from a Walz team.

Freshman pg Dana Evans was fantastic defensively. Not sure how many minutes she played. Her stat line is not eye-popping, but she handles Flaherty in 2 nd half. Also, assists were low for her (4) but she had 0 turnovers. She is a difference maker.

Probably true. The TAMU center Hillsman looked particularly slow to me. Also had 7 TO. I think Carter was getting really frustrated with her.

I was able to figure out the black screen issue...the app/site requires your device to have flash player installed, my tv does not appear to have that capability.

Predicted this in the summer:

Chennedy Carter will be National Freshmen of the year, TA&M will have plenty of shots available for her.

I'm gonna guess that former Stanford great Nicole Powell is the other player w/ 6 triple doubles.

I think that's correct. (And until this year Powell was an assistant coach at Oregon, so perhaps something rubbed off.) I believe that the NCAA record is 7.
