I think it's been that way a while. Thursday and Sundays are the heaviest days, with Sunday being especially dense. The ACC, SEC and Big Ten play the vast majority of their games on those two days. The Pac-12, as you know, is mostly Fridays and Sundays with occasional exceptions. The Big 12 leans more toward Wednesdays and Saturdays with some Sundays as well.Maybe it's always been this way, but I've really been noticing it lately. Seems like in MCBB there are ranked teams playing just about daily, but in WCBB it's condensed into a handful of days during the week.
Johnson scored 25 despite going 0-3 from 3 and 3-6 on FTs. (She's usually an 84% FT shooter.)Rider just improved to 1-15 all time against Quinnipiac behind Stella Johnson's 25 points. Fantastic win for them as they improve to 3-0. Next up? The Battle for the MAAC against Marist.

But she was 11 of 16 on 2-pointers, and she also had 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
And she got strong scoring support from Mobley and Favre, who were a combined 33 points on 15-27 shooting.
They said this was the first ever ESPN-featured game at Rider. It was "little kids" day, so the energy and noise level in the small-ish Rider gym was high.
Quinnipiac's run of 5 consecutive Metro Atlantic championships is coming to a screeching halt.
There was a fun halftime segment about Stella becoming Rider's all-time scoring leader and an interview with Rider's former scoring leader. Even though Warlick isn't a particularly good analyst, in this interview you could really see some of her interpersonal skills that never came through in her press conferences. So it seems, an off year for Quinnipiac, a resurgence from Poughkeepsie, and a new MAAC power in Rider? It's interesting that Stella has continued to find ways to score even though she's something like 3-20 from downtown in her last four games. A slump of sorts from there, but I have confidence that she'll pick it up moving forward.

It appears the two battles between Rider and Marist (1/16 and 2/11) may decide the MAAC regular season title. But Quinnipiac may come around in time for the MAAC tournament. They were missing their leading scorer Shaq Edwards in the past 3 games.
The Southern Conference? Texas Southern is in the SWAC.Fairfield is still perfect in conference play, but it's stunning that Rider and Marist are the only two teams in the MAAC with a winning record overall. Then again, I'm not a fan of the Southern Conference with just one team with a winning record in Texas Southern. Wowza.
There was a really important win for Western Kentucky today, who will really need to start putting some wins together if they hope to win a conference title as they knocked off UAB. It's an odd sight to see the inaptly named Hilltoppers near the bottom of the hill.
But things are looking good for your Spartans, laying the wood on that juggernaut that is ETSU.My Panthers ventured up the Mountain and got handed a 76-60 loss at the hands of UNC-A. I got a feeling the Big South regular season title won't be decided until the final weekend of the season.
Losses to New Orleans, Pitt and SE Missouri, although they beat a selection of those sort of teams as well.84-28 Tennessee final. How bad is Ole Miss?
That nails it. On a wider scale, most of the lesser conferences play on Saturday as well, and some out west on Wednesdays. Monday and Tuesday are the "dog days" - Monday of course gets a few "Big Monday" games, but they are the slow days.I think it's been that way a while.
