Games Feb. 3-9

Clemson's come back is for nought, BC wins 70-68.

My nominee for the "someone has to win" game of they day--1-10 Illinois at 1-11 Penn St. Last place in the B1G on the line!

DePaul now clinging to a 1 point lead w/ 4 minutes left in Q3.

Purdue leading Iowa 18-14 thru Q1.

Ohio St. up 22-20 over Wisconsin thru Q1.

Iowa 39-33 at the half.

Ohio St. 46-35 at the half.

.-.
DePaul survives one of the most treacherous road trips in the country, finally puts away a spunky Seton Hall squad, 86-76. Stonewall cooled off in the 2nd half but finished with 29 and 10. All other DePaul starters finished in double figures.

I don't know of a single ACC team that would've come away unscathed from the Queens-West Orange gauntlet.

Iowa 83-71. Doyle, Meyer and Czinano score 22, 22 and 20.

What a major collapse by Indiana. They were in total control but Nebraska has outscored them 30-12 in the 2nd half. Games is tied with under a minute to go.

Hoosiers pulled it out 57-53.

UCLA up 27-16 on Cal a couple minutes into Q2.

Huh. Cal closes it to 36-32 at halftime. Is UCLA having a hang over game after their big win at Maples?

This is where you're supposed to say: "No nights off in the Pac-12!"

I see UCLA has foul trouble. Onyenwere and Miller with 2 each, and Horvat with 3. That's pretty much their interior roster.

UCLA clinging to a 1 point lead w/ about 3 minutes left in Q3. This could truly be a whacky day in the Pac.

Both teams shooting poorly overall, but UCLA is 7-13 behind the arc. Cal w/ a big advantage in FTs. Bears up 1 now.

UCLA had gotten up by 8, now 63-61 w/ about 2 minutes left.

In mid major news, MTSU's Rellah Boothe gets her first real action of the season, scoring 11 points on 5-7 shooting, and grabbing 6 boards in 11 minutes in a loss to Rice.

Erica Ogwumike had an Ogwumike-like statline of 25/17. Nancy Mulkey with 20/6.

Tied up, UCLA called a timeout w/ 5 seconds left. Another OT game?

edit--yep, OT

Wow UCLA, what a let down game.

UCLA's Japreece Dean now 2-16 from the field and shooting 32.7% from the floor on the season.

Why on earth is she taking 13 shots per game?

Yeah I was actually at this game and posted a few comments on it above: Games Feb. 3-9

(I was too lazy to start a separate thread for it. It was a fairly unremarkable game aside from Boothe's appearance.)

Thanks for sharing. Hopefully next year she comes in healthy, focused and in shape. Still think she could be an excellent player for MTSU.

This would be an awful loss for them.
