Games Feb. 24 – Mar. 1

Central Michigan's 15-game win streak is in serious jeopardy. The Chippewas are down 4 to Ball State with 5 seconds remaining.

CMU had a 5-point lead with 3:00 left but has gone scoreless since.

Live from the Panthers Den... The Lancers of Longwood lead MY Panthers of High Point 37-32 at the half. Exciting game.. Should be a barn burner in the second half.

I tell ya what, Ball State has been a surprise team this year. 2nd place in the MAC, now at 12-4. RPI of 58.

This is a team that went 7-23 / 3-15 last year. Amazing turnaround in one season.

Just back from my first and possibly last visit to the historic (built 1992) Millis Center..... My Panthers were victorious in a hard fought 86-79 battle over Longwood. HPU improves to 12-6 in the Big South with 2 home games remaining. They announced before the game.... that if HPU reaches 80 points... everyone in attendance would get a Bojangles Coupon. @Centerstream They only had 32 points at halftime.... so I figured that promotion would be for naught... even at 59 points after the 3rd... I wasnt optimistic. But Lo and Behold..... My Panthers erupted for 27 more points in the 4th to earn the fans a freebie from Bojangles. The Lady exiting in front of me got a free Steak Biscuit......... alas.... I got a coupon for a free Cinnamon Biscuit. For a moment.. thought the guy was gonna hand me multiple coupons...... but no... just one.

Announced attendance of 628 (capacity 1,750)... crowd was really into it. I even got to meet Prowler..... he came into the stands.. Shook his paw... firm grip.... kinda moist though

Sorry for our Arizona friend. Northern Arizona came up just short, losing to Montana St. 73-71 today. Grand Canyon had a bad week, lost to UT Rio Grande Valley today. May have handed the WAC title to the Roos of UMKC w/ their recent pair of losses.

NICHOLLS WINS!!! 70-68! Make that SIX wins in a row for Nicholls. Otherwise, the favorites all won today, giving the Colonels a bit of a cushion for that #8 spot in the conference standings. Nicholls has one game remaining, against last-place McNeese.

The Colonels are a half-game back of Southeastern Louisiana, which has two games remaining: Central Arkansas (currently in 9th place, a game-and-a-half behind Nicholls now) and New Orleans next Saturday.

Barn burner in Murfreesboro. Now in 2OT between WKU and MTSU.

Currently on the ESPN app (ESPN3), there is a SEC Whip-around channel.

TCU in danger of dropping a 2nd straight game, now down 8 to Texas Tech in 3Q.

Game on MSG2. 65-53 after 3Q.

Lexi Gordon 5-11 from 3. 21 points. 6 Rebounds 2 Steals.

Indiana beat Michigan 78-60.
An important win for Indiana. They're definitely in the running for a hosting spot, and needed this win to stay in the running.

It's on Fox Sports Southwest where I'm at.

TCU looked completely out of it, down 15 early in 4Q, now have closed the gap to 6 with 4:16 left.

TCU cut it to 1, but then Chrislyn Carr got a layup to put Tech back up by 3 with 30 seconds left.

Monster Game by Lexi , Drew foul after foul. 30pts (11-12 FT) and 11 Rebounds.

Texas Tech completes a season sweep over TCU. What?!

The Big 12 is just a giant mosh pit after Baylor. TCU is supposed to be the #2 team, but yet they got swept by Tech and also have a loss to Middle Tennessee State.

Vanderbilt finally didn't play a horrible 4th quarter.

Pulled out the big win over Kentucky 70-64 on senior day for Fasoula (24 points) and Carter (10 points).

This should end any remote chance that Kentucky had at hosting.

DePaul getting blitzed by Marquette, down 20 in the 4th.
DePaul headed in the wrong direction lately, also lost badly at Villanova on Harry Peretta Day.

This is a huge win for Marquette to lock up their bid, and it would definitely knock DePaul out of hosting IMO.

Also means UConn likely to go into NCAAs without a single Top 20 win, and possibly no wins against ranked teams at all. Has that ever happened in the Geno era?

Bradley mounting a comeback against Missouri State, now down 3 with just under a minute left.
Showing on ESPN+

Syracuse and Boston College in a shootout, tied at 45 at the half.

Three key results in the Missouri Valley, with the favored teams surviving tough challenges:

Missouri State hangs on to beat Bradley 69-66.
Drake squeaks by Valparaiso, 83-79.
Northern Iowa finishes on a 15-9 run to beat Loyola Chicago 73-70.

UNI will host Drake on Friday, a must-win if they are to have any shot at a bid. UNI has wins over Iowa, Iowa State and Bradley, but their RPI is only in the mid-70s.

They will keep Depaul in the rankings. maybe not in my BY Poll

If they win their conference tourney they should climb into top 20 (if they drop out). Pretty sure this would be the first time since either the 80s or early 90s.

Made a huge comeback effort very similar to the UCONN game but too little too late.

Do you mean top 20 in the polls, or top 20 according to the committee?

They're probably a 5 seed at this point. But yeah DePaul's mini-slide here is bad news for UConn.
