I do not think Kamilla really got outside her lane at SCar. She kind of just was an always improving version of herself.Okot already is a better defender than Cardoso when switched out with a guard on the perimeter. She has quick hands and moves her feet well. Cardoso is a more polished player within 5 feet of the basket but I think Okot, because of her abilities outside of 5 feet, will eventually surpass Cardoso once she gets more comfortable in that space.
I'm going to guess you never had anyone dunk on you. That might change your point of view.Dunking is greatly over valued. Yes, Tournabix, at least, has dunked in a game - but that was in a breakaway. Many touted dunkers exist in practice but never accomplish it in games.
The only value I place on dunking is that it shows the leaping ability for rebounding and shot blocking. She looks like a Cameron Brink. If we get her, she needs strength training and some good weight gain to avoid injury.
On me personally? NoI'm going to guess you never had anyone dunk on you. That might change your point of view.

Dunks are coming. Never as many as the guys. but they are coming. You're starting to see more of the precursor of an air game with the number of dramatic flying blocks that we see.On me personally? No
Against my high school team? Yeah. So what? We beat them by 20.
How many dunks per year happen in Wbb? Five, maybe? That's ten point per year against All teams. It's nothing.
Well, we got to see all the backups together in one platoon for a significant time in the third and again in the 4th quarters. It wasn’t pretty . Maddy did not lead them to play as a team and all of them seemed to be playing for themselves. The freshmen couldn’t hit a barn from 3,
Tac played well with a double double but it was basically a high school team,
Now, bring on @triaddukefan
Good enough to play against guys who can, not good enough to play against guys who will. Had a couple try it and get fouled. Whoops. Hit your free throws.I'm going to guess you never had anyone dunk on you.
Going to the country?...I'll promise to take a vacation in your state, eat two SC peaches, and further contribute to your states economy
By the time it is necessary, Okut might be ready to guard Strong as well as anyone could reasonably expect. Fudd killed us last year, but she was the complement to PB. Hoping it will be different this year, when she is Batman, not Robin.the nagging question for the highest level games will be depth and maybe defensive stoppers. Fudd/Strong, Betts, Booker, the LSU and OU guards.
We will know by Monday, but I think it is possible.Do you really think Okot is better than Kamilla?
If she can get two years in Dawn’s system, I could see her catching up or, maybe, surpassing Kamilla. She still looks raw to me and needs to refine her go-to shots. This week against Betts or the Texas Bigs will tell me a lot.
Well done with the Presidents of the United States of America reference. 😂Going to the country?
Going to the country?
For you, my dear friend? Can any of y'all contact Coach Staley and tell her to take it easy on us? In return I'll promise to take a vacation in your state, eat two SC peaches, and further contribute to your states economy
I think Dawn likes to support the smaller SC schools, esp. the HBCUs: hence the games against Winthrop and Queens this week.Gee, I want to play Queens next year. Does SC have a home and home with them? Other than fattening the scoring averages what is gained out of playing a 350ish ranker?

UCLA is interesting. Last year Betts didn't have a huge game, but South Carolina seemed smaller and just out of sorts trying to compensate.By the time it is necessary, Okut might be ready to guard Strong as well as anyone could reasonably expect. Fudd killed us last year, but she was the complement to PB. Hoping it will be different this year, when she is Batman, not Robin.
Think we'll see about Betts this weekend. I think Okut is prepared to face a true center, but I have not watched this UCLA team yet. Last year, I thought Betts would get hers, but we would be otherwise ready. A similar faceplant would be very concerning.
We'll beat Texas.
Tough to say anything about LSU until they face someone with a pulse, but I think MiLaysia and Flau'jae are the scariest backcourt in the sport.
I think Oklahoma is a styles make fights advantage. Last year, they were a borderline top ten team for 30 pre-tournament games, and "I thought they were supposed to be good?" for two against us.
She was good tonight. We’ll see how she looks against the Texas bigs tomorrow .We will know by Monday, but I think it is possible.
I'd give Kamilla the edge in post moves, Okut in hands and quickness. Still deciding about the rest.
Do your officials ride on the team charter or do y’all make them arrange separate travel for appearances?
The Oldacre matchup should be fun tomorrow. Besides her, Texas doesn't really have anyone on their roster ready for Okot. Cunningham is serviceable, but not in the same league IMO.She was good tonight. We’ll see how she looks against the Texas bigs tomorrow .
Dauda and Tac gave us some solid Minutes tonight. Not spectacular, but serviceable

Aren’t the officials always from the conference of the winning team?Ha. Interesting you said that. I couldn't watch the game but listened to the Duke radio broadcast. From the sound of the broadcast and what I've read, it sounded like the officials were either Sandlappers or from the $EC
