Game Week - UConn vs. Wagner (8/29/19 @ 7p on ESPN3)

Actually, the players are listed in alphabetical order by last name, so it it definitely not a 2 deep.
True, but we know a lot of things based on what has been said or observed at camp like Beaudry is the #1 QB and the OL starters are determined, but the kicking situation is still somewhat unsettled.

Since the participation list is a list of the players expected to play, it includes the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string players. Thus, any true freshman listed on the participation is by definition on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team at their position.

Does anyone know why we’re doing a weeknight game for Wagner? I mean it’s not like TV is driving this decision.
When have we not opened the season on a Thursday night? Typically vs an FCS team...

Not good that Gardner isn't on the participation list.. we need someone like him to emerge on defense. He was slated along with Harris and KK to help generate a pass rush

What was the point of bringing in Sean Young if he's not going to handle kickoffs? Wasn't he top 10 in the nation last year?

.-.
Andrew Migliaccio made the participation squad. Good for him as I think he is the only walk-on. Maybe this gets him a scholarship.

Not sure if Ventine Richardson is a walk-on?? he is on the P squad too.

Can someone make it to basketball team autograph area and please confirm Spring's height?
I think he is 6 feet 9 but is still growing. It’s possible he could end up 6 feet 11 in a couple of years

Maybe he's hurt? Some good news on the defensive front, defensive end Pierce DeVaughn put on 25 pounds of muscle during the off season. Same thing for linebacker Hunter Webb,

Haven’t heard anything at all about hunter Webb ass summer. Has anyone seen him play?

Discounted merchandise available inside Gate A until 3 p.m....but the gates won't open until 5:30...Am I missing something?

Yes, there is a lack of attention to detail by the person that put that together as they forgot to update the times in the little message boxes - as a for instance, gates open for everyone at 8am (as opposed to 2pm when they are scheduled to open). So they basically forgot this is a 7pm game.

They did it again on the Facebook Live heading - 'Head from' as opposed to 'Hear from' - they corrected that one at least!

Thought the same thing... very strange. We're going to need help at kicker for sure since they'll be relying heavily on these points all year.

Not on participation list and HCRE said he will say nothing about injuries. I’m going to say 2+2=4

This reminds me of my Little League position chart when my kid was 8 yrs old and it's in alphabetical order too, so no ones feelings are hurt.....Good times!!!

On ESPN3, can you start a game from the beginning, if you start watching mid-game?

Ostrout: Vet LBs likely to get call

>>Edsall said his younger linebackers are likely to see play on special teams. “The young guys, Terrence (Ganyi) and Jackson (Mitchell) and Jordan (Morrison), those guys are all learning and getting better. They’re probably going to be making their contributions early in the season on special teams,” Edsall said.<<

As of Monday afternoon, about 16,000 tickets had been distributed for Thursday night’s game according to the Wtby Republican American.

It is what it is. I would be concerned if they were coming off a bowl season, but considering how bad the last 7 years have been combined with the national trend of declining attendance even for some of the more successful P5 programs, it's about what one could expect.

There are 0 fanbases in the country that would be turning out in droves if they endured what this fanbase has gone through so it is not an indictment of anyone that follows the program, but more the people that were tasked with overseeing the program in some capacity during this prolonged down period.

not to mention it is thursday night of a holiday weekend and the opponent is Wagner.

Not that Edsall isn’t being a putz for the sake of being a putz but.....

If you don’t share information because of gambling it actually puts your staff and players MORE AT RISK because the information is more valuable because it’s secret.

But he’s really just being difficult for the sake of being difficult at this point. When attendance is zero and the games aren’t even on radio he’ll be thrilled.
