Probably because its labor day weekend and folks like to travel. It also give the coaches and team two extra days to prepare for Illinois. Illinois plays Saturday and I bet their coach isn't happy about that.
Totally. Luck for us Illinois plays Sat at noon on BTN so we can watch and scout the team.

I can't express in words how excited I am for the return of UCONN football! The tailgating looks great with men's and women's hoops signing autographs. This is going to be a great game to start a ...better....season. Let's go Huskies! U! C! O! N! N! UCONN! UCONN! UCONN!

The "participation list" does look like a 2 deep except with K/P/LS. There are some kids missing from the participation list who are somewhat surprising and I guess they may be injured. Here are those players: Shamel Lazarus, Zavier Scott, Garrison Burnett, Noel Brouse, TJ Gardner, Sean Young.

One positive when you see the list is the small number of true freshmen who may play, 7. No true freshmen OL. No true freshmen RB. 1 true freshmen TE. 2 true freshmen WR. 1 true freshmen QB. 1 true freshmen DL. 0 true freshmen LB. 2 true freshmen DB. 0 true freshmen specialists. In contrast to last year, it doesn't look like any true freshmen will start.
Actually, the players are listed in alphabetical order by last name, so it it definitely not a 2 deep.

True, but we know a lot of things based on what has been said or observed at camp like Beaudry is the #1 QB and the OL starters are determined, but the kicking situation is still somewhat unsettled.

Since the participation list is a list of the players expected to play, it includes the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string players. Thus, any true freshman listed on the participation is by definition on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team at their position.

Does anyone know why we’re doing a weeknight game for Wagner? I mean it’s not like TV is driving this decision.
When have we not opened the season on a Thursday night? Typically vs an FCS team...

Not good that Gardner isn't on the participation list.. we need someone like him to emerge on defense. He was slated along with Harris and KK to help generate a pass rush

What was the point of bringing in Sean Young if he's not going to handle kickoffs? Wasn't he top 10 in the nation last year?

Andrew Migliaccio made the participation squad. Good for him as I think he is the only walk-on. Maybe this gets him a scholarship.

Not sure if Ventine Richardson is a walk-on?? he is on the P squad too.

Can someone make it to basketball team autograph area and please confirm Spring's height?
I think he is 6 feet 9 but is still growing. It’s possible he could end up 6 feet 11 in a couple of years

Maybe he's hurt? Some good news on the defensive front, defensive end Pierce DeVaughn put on 25 pounds of muscle during the off season. Same thing for linebacker Hunter Webb,

Yes, there is a lack of attention to detail by the person that put that together as they forgot to update the times in the little message boxes - as a for instance, gates open for everyone at 8am (as opposed to 2pm when they are scheduled to open). So they basically forgot this is a 7pm game.

They did it again on the Facebook Live heading - 'Head from' as opposed to 'Hear from' - they corrected that one at least!

Thought the same thing... very strange. We're going to need help at kicker for sure since they'll be relying heavily on these points all year.

Not on participation list and HCRE said he will say nothing about injuries. I’m going to say 2+2=4
