Except for the ACC which pays BC over $20 million to be part of the conference so they never have to move a home game just for money. Still not sure how Uconn moving a home game 2 miles from BC's campus is a bad thing for BC.
If Uconn wins, this will be a great for Uconn's profile in Boston, maybe. Because, as is often posted on this board, Boston does not care about college football. Not sure how many tickets have actually been sold to the casual Boston sports fan and with it being on CBS Sports Network, not sure how many will actually watch.
Notre Dame moved a home game against BC to Fenway. It was good for both teams. Sold more than 38,000 tickets.
So one of the streets (Landsdowne? Yawkey?) is blocked off for UConn tailgate right? Is it free? How much beer can I bring in? Aside from Ryan’s thing, or am I thinking about Ryan’s thing?
Why does it say Fenway Park and not UCONN in the end zone?
Why does it say Fenway Park and not UCONN in the end zone? Seems like total disrespet for the home team.
You have a point here. For the ND/BC game, the end zones were painted blue and had “Fighting Irish” outlined in gold on one side and “Notre Dame” on the other.
Sounds like 38,000+ is the capacity for football at Fenway. 25,000 just doesn't cut it. I wonder if Fenway is gong to lose money on this game.
