Game Week: UConn @ UMass (10/26/19 @ 3:30)

Early forecast is for rain, possibly heavy. Forget any line if that's the case.

UMass gets blown out by an average of 35.5 points compared to our 25.5, and against a weaker schedule. If JZ can keep calm when he spots a receiver with nothing but grass in front of him we could put 40 plus on the board.

I propose a week of silence on the BY. Let's try not to screw this up even tho we know what is said here has zero effect. Nonetheless it sure as hell couldn't hurt for us to shut our mouths and wait.

You mean saying less is better....I get it and we need to change the script in here

Massey has the over/under at 73.5. Given UConn's highest scoring game is 24 points the UMass defense must be pretty bad (UConn favored by 4.5 points). How bad is UMass defense this year, giving up a 2018 UConn type almost 50 points per game.

After barely beating UConn last week Houston is only a 4 point dog to SMU, if I were a betting person I'd take SMU and give the points. If SMU is undefeated on 11/30 they play Tulane in final season game, that would be one I'd have to catch.

I'd jump all over SMU at -4 over Houston. As several have said, UConn could have put 30 on the board against Houston.

I think you read the SMU line wrong. I've seen -14.

Here is the link to game day at UMass, but my general understanding is lot 22 if you pay in advance or lot 33.

Most of the information is in this thread:

For 2018 some changes regarding parking:
Lot 22 is free to season ticket holders and assume for individual advance paid parking.
Lot 33 is for game day cash only parking.
Lot 14 for RV and South Loop are available and assume available for advance paid parking.
Lot 11 and Stadium Drive are paid lots and available to season ticket holders and additionally require a $50 donation to the Minutemen Cub

is this game on cable TV or on internet streaming (ESPN + or something like that)? I did a quick Google search and didn't find much of anything.

So I guess out of town folks are SOL....unless your provider has NESN...which Charter/Spectrum does not.

i actually really wanted to see this game because UConn might win...lol

Depends if $12.50 means “really” ;)

It looks like it is $12.50 a month if you sign up for an annual subscription. If you want to do it on a monthly basis, it is $19.99.

I have to go back and find the promo link that was $12.50. I have NESN so I just grabbed the link from the UMass site but your probably right.

So....20 bucks to watch the game? Yeah...not sure about that.

Randy Edsall unhappy with targeting call on Travis Jones; UConn defensive players out with injuries

>>Linebacker Ryan Gilmartin and safety Diamond Harrell will both miss time due to injuries, Edsall said Sunday.
Gilmartin has a high-ankle sprain, Edsall said, while Harrell has a pulled hamstring. Edsall did not offer a timetable for Gilmartin’s recovery but said Harrell will likely miss at least the next week.

Gilmartin, linebacker D.J. Morgan and cornerback Tahj Herring-Wilson all sat for Saturday’s game, while Harrell and fellow safety Tyler Coyle exited early and did not return. Edsall did not offer specific updates on other ailing Huskies. “We’ll just have to see how they respond,” Edsall said. “I don’t think they’ll be too long.”<<

I understand there also may be two more in possible concussion protocol.

Thanks everyone for your info. I live here in Boston and have NESN so i should be able to see the game. I hope we can see UConn break the 20 game FBS winless streak.
