are we going to get an update on Herring-Wilson, Terry and NOW Coyle's injuries by Saturday?

That would be nice.

Courant: UConn's Darrian Beavers, Eli Thomas Adjusting Well To Defensive End Position

>>“If you sit there and you see that you can’t get a pass rush and you sit there and don’t don’t do anything about it, you’re hurting your team,” Edsall said. “So that was in an effort to get a pass rush going, utilize guys who could maybe could be better utilized at those positions than people we already had.

“It was really a combination of getting our best people on the field, helping ourselves in an area where we were deficient … and trying to get speed and athleticism on the field on third downs.”<<

Fuller: Injuries could force UConn’s struggling defense to rely even more on freshmen

>> While there were no updates on the playing status of Coyle, Herring-Wilson and Terry for Saturday’s game at Syracuse (4 p.m., ESPNews), a trio of freshman defensive backs (cornerbacks Ryan Carroll and Jeremy Lucien and safety Oneil Robinson) could all be in the starting lineup when the Huskies go up against a Syracuse team ranked in the top 20 nationally in scoring offense and rushing offense.<<

>>Depending on how quickly UConn’s veterans heal, the Huskies could start six true freshmen and eight total freshmen while squaring off with a Syracuse offense with 180 career starts between them.<<

>>“I know the (UConn defensive) numbers aren’t good and all that sort of stuff,” UConn coach Randy Edsall said. “I don’t care who you are, if you’re playing as many young guys as we are, you’re not going to have the stats. If we can keep getting them to keep playing hard, keep giving the great effort each and every day in practice and in the meeting room, it’s going to pay off. We have to take some lumps now, it is what it is but the one thing is that the kids are trying, they’re trying to do everything but they’re not ready, but that’s the situation we’re in. These kids are just coming from high school, they had 25 practices and now ...<<

Robinson’s comment about tackling technique is interesting and evident w/ a lot of them.

Wow, when Kyle Buss plays on Special Teams he's 6'1", 185, while as a Wide Receiver he's only 5'9" and 185 pounds.
Wouldn't he be more effective as a Wide Receiver if he stayed at 6'1" tall?
I wish you could participate in the AAC coaches call on Tuesday and ask Edsall.

Yes and Matt Peart is 2 inches shorter at 6-5 instead of 6-7.
Spelling last name mistakes and heights are wrong..
whomever is putting out the announcement depth chart for the upcoming games should check with the programs that come out on game day.
Please recheck before next weeks depth chart is posted!!

His home town is listed as New Berlin, NY. New Berlin is where he went to Prep School. He grew-up in Clifton Park. Maybe, while they're at it....
