Game Week - UConn @ Memphis (Saturday 10/6 @ 7:00p ET on CBSSN)

Great. Can’t stream the game. Thanks Comcast. Why is every provider but Xfinity enabled on the CBSSN stream app?

Iam watching via bootleg tv basically. It's just as painful as you have imagined.

Wife changed our cable package earlier this week. Had no clue I no longer had CBS Sports. After hour on phone finally got everything sorted out.

Turn on game and first thing I see is the Memphis running back break one for TD. Have no idea how the team had looked up tillthat point but was surprised it was close

Sure sounds like the Bye Week is hitting @ the right time for everyone.

UConn S Omar Fortt on Huskies' need for an off week: “Most definitely to get our bodies right, and more importantly our mental. We have a lot of people that have given up and we need to come together as a team, rally together.”

Time to try that Omar Fortt quote again: "Being patient is the hardest part. I believe in Coach Edsall and I know he believes in us. We have a lot of people who have given up, we have to come together as a team." #UConn

Putterman/Courant: More Of Same From UConn In 55-14 Loss To Memphis

>>Several Huskies said Saturday that five blowout losses have players discouraged. Fortt said some seem to have “given up,” while running back Zavier Scott suggested UConn must learn to be more resilient.

“That’s definitely something we need to work on: just being able to know what you did wrong and move past it,” Scott said. “Not just at the end of the game but during the game, realizing what was wrong and how to go past it, how to fix it and not letting the same mistakes happen again.”<<

>>“We didn’t execute our job every time we were out there,” Scott said. “One little mistake can change a whole drive, and that’s what happened.”

Added receiver Keyion Dixon: “We go into practice with a game plan and we execute in practice, and then we get into the game and—I don’t know what happens.”<<

This one is easy. In practice you go against the worst defense in the country.

The sad thing is that we shouldn’t be that much better next year

We will NOT be any better next year period. Same players same results. Unless Edsall can fine a half dozen 4 star recruits especially on defense, we will continue to fall further into the black hole. UConn needs an energizer of a coach. A rah rah guy that can motivate a team to go beyond its abilities would be a miracle right now because Edsall is facing strike 3 next year. There will be no 5 year plan in UConn football because the results thus far are a total failure.

I went to a high school game Friday night and talked to a little kid about 8 years old about UConn, he saw my baseball cap, and when some like that comes right out and says UConn sucks that stunned me, but its the TRUTH.
