I want to see the effort on every play, keep their heads high, and tackle/hit on every play. A little pressure on the QB would be nice too.
That’s so perfectly said.
How often do you see the lot and think ‘great turnout!’. Then you get into stadium and it’s sparsely crowded.
Don’t blame people. Tailgating > UConn Football for past decade. But that’s changed the past couple seasons. There’s an actual competitive game to see now.
Let’s go!
Let's be real, it's part of UConn FB fan DNA. UConn used to have one tailgate of note per year, at Yale. Anyone going to UConn back then must have heard "I went to the Yale game but I never made it in" a 100 times.Tailgating at a game and not going in to see the game is normal for plenty of other schools too.

But the schools you are listing have sold out venues and additional people tailgating outside the stadium.Yep. And fans of many other schools too. Way back when Tebow and the Gators played at LSU a friend invited me to the game. He didn't have a ticket for me but we tailgated with his family all day and when he went to the game I watched it in his brother's motorhome. No complaints.
Earlier this year some friends who have three kids at FSU went to the Miami/FSU game. No game tix but they tailgated all day outside the stadium. When the game came on, they watched it on TV under a tent.
We are also in 200. Row 13. UConn hockey sweater. Not sure how the giveaways work, but my entire row is full (section 200). Normally, it’s just me and my daughter and she can literally run from one side to the other. I’m glad it’s full, but I’m going to now have to pull out a bag of tricks to keep her entertained by something other than doing wind sprints in the stands so I can be entertained by football.
If they can do those things they may well notch, what I feel, may be their biggest victory in recent years. Even bigger than beating UNC in the Fenway Bowl.I want to see the effort on every play, keep their heads high, and tackle/hit on every play. A little pressure on the QB would be nice too.
Well when you factor in the 3 point gift that the ACC refs will give, it’s really Duke -10.5.It’s all the way down to Duke -7.5
