Will be down there for this one. Delaware's first FBS opponent as an FBS ever on Saturday vs. this UConn team. We need to comeback BIG on Saturday - no question. They should be pissed and unleash that on the Fightin' Blue Hens.

Anyone else headed down there? Leaving the house bright and early Saturday, should have plenty of time. Tailgating lots open at 11am.

GO HUSKIES!

Delaware lost to Colorado 31-7 this past Saturday.

If we can match up as well as we did against ACC-level talent in their building, we should (and I stress "should") have better success against a 1st year FBS program in their building. UConn's just gotta play well and put the game away this time.

Delaware is not your average first-year FBS program, in my opinion. They are a cut above jax state or kennesaw state or the like. They are more like a James Madison - they will be really good, quickly. And they are better than the 31-7 colorado result, and certainly will show it against a team like UConn. I know we CAN win, but this game is most certainly not a gimme.

the fearful jetsky in me is hoping this doesn't turn into Jim Mora's own "Holy cross" game of 2025.

James Madison was performing at the top of FCS before joining FBS. In the 8 seasons before joining FBS, James Madison was 88-18 and Delaware was 57-34. James Madison won a championship, lost the championship game 2x and made the semis 2 other times. Delaware made the semis once during COVID.

In the 8 seasons before turning FBS, James Madison's records: 9-4, 9-3, 14-1 (National Champs), 14-1 (Lost Championship), 9-4, 14-2 (Lost Championship), 7-1 COVID (Lost semis), 12-2 (Lost semis).

In the 8 seasons before turning FBS, Delaware's records: 7-4, 7-5, 5-7, 7-1 COVID (lost semis), 5-6, 8-5, 9-4, 9-2.

Won't be an easy game.
I agree... Delaware and James Madison, the two most recent FCS schools that had seem to always been at the top of the FCS, came up here as competitive programs... This is not a push over game...

We need to keep our foot on opponents necks when we have them down... if it's like last weekend, we better show no let up offensively with less than 10 minutes to go...

Moving forward, looking at the box from last week: The Delaware QB passed for 312 yds. Our boys need to be focussed.
Have we shut down a good passing offense lately like we did with the Syracuse running game?.

I know nothing about the UD QB, but fear we're going to get lit up by Lonergan with BC (first year transfer from Alabama) who looked great against Michigan St this week. Gets the ball out fast and rifles it to the perfect spot almost every time.

Good info,, but, honestly brother, I think we need to take the week to week route... put our primary focus on who we're playing... worry about BCU when the time comes... This weekend's game will/should tell a lot about us in terms of resiliency.
