Delaware lost to Colorado 31-7 this past Saturday. Will be down there for this one. Delaware's first FBS opponent as an FBS ever on Saturday vs. this UConn team. We need to comeback BIG on Saturday - no question. They should be pissed and unleash that on the Fightin' Blue Hens.
Anyone else headed down there? Leaving the house bright and early Saturday, should have plenty of time. Tailgating lots open at 11am.
GO HUSKIES!
We are not yet at the point where any road game should be viewed as an easy game.Won't be an easy game.
James Madison was performing at the top of FCS before joining FBS. In the 8 seasons before joining FBS, James Madison was 88-18 and Delaware was 57-34. James Madison won a championship, lost the championship game 2x and made the semis 2 other times. Delaware made the semis once during COVID.Delaware is not your average first-year FBS program, in my opinion. They are a cut above jax state or kennesaw state or the like. They are more like a James Madison - they will be really good, quickly. And they are better than the 31-7 colorado result, and certainly will show it against a team like UConn. I know we CAN win, but this game is most certainly not a gimme.
the fearful jetsky in me is hoping this doesn't turn into Jim Mora's own "Holy cross" game of 2025.
I agree... Delaware and James Madison, the two most recent FCS schools that had seem to always been at the top of the FCS, came up here as competitive programs... This is not a push over game...Won't be an easy game.
Fortunately for us they pronounce it differently. They call it New ARK (as in a new version if Noah's vessel).I would not have used the word “Newark.” Newark has been a very unkind to our basketball program.
I think @SonsOfNutmeg meant to say first FBS home game…Delaware lost to Colorado 31-7 this past Saturday.
This will be a defining game for the Huskies. They certainly received a wake up call. Will we get the smartly executing group from the first half at Syracuse? Or will will get the inept, easy to push around group from the second half?
It should tell us a lot.
This will be a defining game for the Huskies.
