We should win this one if we're ready. The biggest challenge will be getting up after all the emotion that was spent for BC. UMass may have this one circled. Hopefully the defense can send a very physical message right away.

The three things going against this, are (i) how does UMass get fired up after being beaten comfortably, at home, by New Mexico State, (ii) we’re at home and whatever the crowd size is it will be there for the Huskies, and (iii) this is only our second game after our off week to recover mental and physical energy.

Look, this is a test for the Mora staff of another kind. No players here have ever had a game against an FBS opponent that they should win comfortably. My guess is that keeping them focused is not going to be one of Mora’s tougher tests this year, but we’ll see.

Agree with all that Biz. On top of all that, Mora just seems to have these kids focused and having a good time. They were flying around especially on defense and specials. That play on Flowers on the punt return (or attempted punt return) was terrific........and your star LB hustles down field to make the recovery. Good stuff!

Up to this point, I've never really given enough consideration to UMess to actually hate them. But this is a start, I guess. At least they're not constructing a silly trophy with a countdown clock...or maybe they are...hopefully Marcus gets a taste of losing a rivalry game. I hear it's quite bitter.
