This team played, with the exception of a few TOs and some sagging DB coverage, very competitively. I hate blaming the refs but the game was officiated very uneven - UConn was on the bad end of many calls. Mora has instilled some pride in these kids which goes a long way. The team deserves a respectful and dedicated crowd at home. Be there, be there early, enter the stands before the game start and try to stay until the final whistle. That will do wonders for this team.

Players of this game for UConn: Special teams unit, Jackson Mitchell, Nathan Carter. QB's underperformed. You can't compete and help this team win when you are on the sideline with crutches. That might sound unsympathetic but I don't care anymore. I love UConn football and I know they can achieve the same glory the basketball teams have. Roberson, fix your broken wing and come back even stronger. As far as next man up, Turner did throw a TD pass but we needed more than one. And he threw more inties than TD's so that is that. I would have liked to see Cale Millen more. The Huskies beat the point spread so that is a good thing but still, they are 0-1. And with a couple of things being different they could have easily been 1-0.

GO HUSKIES!!

I may have missed it but where was Nigel Fitzgerald today? Thought he'd be a prime target, especially after Marion went out.

I thought Cale might get a little more time today, but I get why he left Zion in.

What happened to Fitzgerald? I haven't heard his name in a while.

Our kicker looked great.

Carter ran really hard. O-line was pretty good, especially run blocking.

Coaches made adjustments.

It was an enjoyable game. When Zion gets his feet under him he will be alright.

I will say this. I thought Utah State had a lot of late hits, but UConn kept their composure.

I would love to kick their as....... next year.

We have already used our injury allotment for the year!

Mitchell was great.

Lousy P.I. call at the end.

The D-backs need to tighten it up more. Utah St had too many wide-open receivers. Not enough pressure on the QB. Cale Millen had a first down on the only play I can remember seeing him on. Why not more of him? I know, the staff see Turner as the answer down the road but...this team needs W's more than moral victories right now. W's bring peeps to the Rent. Nathan Carter, Jackson Mitchell and Noe Ruelas are the MVP's of that game.

GO Huskies!!
