Yeah on D - WMU seemed to have very little problems with our blitzes. Carder getting the ball out quickly and to the right guy. I'm not an X's and O's guy but we have to do something to change the rhythm.

Make McCummings a running back. We can't have McCoombs getting ankle tackled all the time. And McCummings could throw on occasion.

Put McCombs, Whitmer and McCummings back there at the same time. Then we can feel love for Deleone.

Same deal as last year. Having a veteran QB & WR's may have helped in that regard. Having never trailed against us in either game (to date) likely didn't hurt either.
 
The two most surprising things are how are D Backs are getting beat consistently, and our pass rush is so ineffective. It's like our D has been reading and basking in it's press clippings. If we can sustain the 2nd half opening drive and score--and then become more dispuptive on D we can win this game. We need to use Nick Williams on some slant and go routes and let our big TE's catch it in traffic. That will open McCombs for screens, draws and flares, and let Davis run free for some deeper routes. O-line protection will be key to whether any of this is possible. Incidently, notwithstanding the bad wildcat snap, I've heard the team actually thinks Bullock should be starting over Mateas, but that Alex is DeLeone's guy from P State and up till now he wouldn't concede the point. Now it's Bullock's turn. We'll see if the players are correct.
 
Announcer is right on the nail. We did too much of the wildcat and got out of rhythm! Deleone is worse than I thought.
 
Alex Carder had a career day against us last year. He has every reason to be confident and he's showing it. Kid is the real deal.
 
FFCTFan-We actually did lead them 31-24 last year before Wilburn was burned twice by Ravenall.
 
The D can't give up more than one TD this half or were're cooked. That's not a good place to be in.

For some reason I thought all we did was tie the game twice late.

My bad.
 
Why are we calling deep passes? They are wasted plays that accomplish nothing and throw off our rhythm. Intermiedate play action passes should be used if we want chunks of yardage.

Good drive so far.

New drinking game. Every time announcer says ankle tackle about McCombs you take a shot. I'm sh!tfaced already
