Game thread

At the end of three, not looking good. But I believe that UConn will still be a 1 Seed in March even if they have 2 or 3 losses...

Just lost a LOT more than a game. Oy.

So Lou was playing that many minutes when she's clearly not 100% in a December game? Why? Jesus.

Geno questioned if this team really believed all the words they were saying about last years loss and that they were ready to get revenge. Players may have been saying the right things, but their play on the court hasn't backed up their words. Yes, they had some great dominating quarter against Good Teams, but they've had plenty of lack luster quarters so far this year too. Game is not over, hope the team makes the comeback for the win.

This may be one of the most disappointing efforts I have seen from a UConn team. This team has issues.

.-.
There is NO goshdarn REASON Samuelson should have been in this game at this point! That is on GENO 10000000%

He better hope this girl is not seriously injured! It's December!!! Why force her back if she's not 100%?

Lou was in tears as she left. More pissed I would think than raw pain? IDK?

Katie-Lou was the only player playing with emotion to get her team to play harder. If she's injured again then it was a bad decision. Geno was coaching to get a win. I won't blame him.

In December??? Coaching for a December win?? Is that really the main goal here?

If I was in the press I would grill Geno on that after the game. Absolutely NOT the right call. Everyone could tell she wasn't 100% to begin with, then he decides to play her 28 minutes through 3 quarters.

At her departure it certainly didn’t appear to be a minor injury.

This is not the time of year to get a win. It's the time of year to get it right. Now, don't expect to see Lou for the rest of the month, maybe as I originally said, the end of January.

Wow Geno. I know you dislike Muffet, but you really screwed up today. Shame on you.

UConn is at the fork in the road. we're going to see what kind of team they have. they're going to come all the way back, or they're going to fall behind even more .

It is his job to protect her from herself! Of course she is going to say she is OK, she is a competitor. We all could see she wasn't close to be 100% and he rested her for all of 2 minutes!

Huskies doing a much better job getting D boards this half. Irish had 11 O boards in first half, only 4 in the 2nd.

Digging down deep, Huskies might pull this one out.

Why are Shepard and Ogunbowale on the bench?
