Watching on TV, but I see (hear) in the post-game that they are playing pre-recorded messages from former players up on the scoreboard screen?? Think I just heard TipHayes3 give her congrats and encouragement??

Crystal Dangerfield and others staring up and grinning like a little kid!

BYers in attendance , please elaborate on this if you've got more info !!

Didn't Trinity of Hartford have a gigantic undefeated streak in squash? Maybe they don't count that...

EDIT: yup, Trinity had won 252 consecutive matches from 1998 - 2012. I guess the state of Connecticut just likes to win a lot...
Probably comparing D1 winning streaks - Trinity is D3

I was at work when the game started so I didn't catch the commentators names...but did anyone catch the female commentator at the end of the game? Brought up how Maryland, not UConn, had the #1 class, said UConn doesn't always get the #1 class, talent is getting spread around, and it's up to other teams to catch up to UConn.

Was refreshing :)

Remarkable!
6 Players in double figures!
Each UCONN player (except Molly & Tlaw) had at least 2 rebounds & 1 assist & 2 made FG.

Given the vicissitudes of college tennis (and the time frame of the Miami men's tennis streak), the Penn State women's volleyball record of 109 is pretty close to the pinnacle of winning streaks in college athletics. And it's certainly within the realm of possibility for UCWBB: if they beat South Carolina, they would hit 110 with a S16 victory in the NCAAs.

All kinds of crazy stats popping out of the box score tonight, but this one gets my vote as the most ridiculous:

UConn: 31 assists, 9 turnovers
USF: 3 assists, 20 turnovers

Juts incredible. I can't believe how incredible they looked. I can't even describe it. I couldn't believe what they were doing in the 1st half. Just incredible.

Stat of the game II: Chong's point production was a surprise but perhaps no more so than 10 points off the bench from Natalie Butler. UConn isn't a deep team (it hasn't much mattered, clearly) but this was the first time all season six players reached double digits.
