Not sure what to make of Bria. This game is certainly a regression offensively for her. in fact, it's probably safe to say it's her worse offensive game ever at UCONN, and that's a terrible sign going into Monday. She's just awful on the shooting side. The only way it could be worse than 0-11 is if she were 0-fer-more than 11...

By the way Mil, even if you call Chiney a center, Stef is better. Remember their head to head matchup? Ogwumike was 6-22. if Stef had taken 22 shots she'd have scored over 30.

Kelly has 5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks, with only 1 TO.

Unbalanced scoring for UConn. When was the last time we had 2 players with 25+ points?

32 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 0 turnovers, and only 1 foul. Kaleena did what Geno wanted.

We are going to need a little more impact from some other players in order to pull out the W on Monday

I believe we have the leading 3-pt. shooter (Kaleena) and leading FG shooter (Stef) in the nation.

KML is shooting 91-181 on treys for .503.

Maggie is 78-170 for .459.

Tricia is 59-122 for .484.

Elena is 41-83 for .494.

When was the last time any team had two players with 25+ points. There could not have been too many at UConn. Ia m inclined to believe it is the first time, but... Maya and Tina going for 34 and 21 against Baylor comes darn close. Kara and Jamelle going for 31 and 21 against Stanford is another that comes to mind. Maya and Tiffany went 27 and 23 against Louisville. Found it! Renee and Maya went 30 and 27 against Oklahoma back in Decemeber 2008.

Thanks. That was a while ago. It figures that Maya was involved.

Seems like yesterday! Yes, it does figure that Maya would be involved. Even on a bad day, Maya was bound to put up gaudy offensive numbers.

It's also not often that 2 players have career highs in the same game (not counting frosh early in the season).

Stef tied her career high at 25.

Kaleena broke her old record of 27 by 5. I'm glad to see her break through the 25-27 range, which she had hit several times. She can get 30 at least once per month.

Bria is in a funk. No doubt. But the way our fans are turning on her and actually laughing about how she is struggling is distressing.
It's tough to believe some of them are even UCONN fans.

Nobodys "turning" on anyone just telling it like it is thats all! What is really distressing is people that think everything is peaches and cream even when they are not.
You are.

There is nothing wrong with Bria that a simple reset won't fix...she just needs to hit reset, erase her random access memory, and let the all american athlete take over. If I know Bria, that's exactly what she's going to do...sometimes you have to peer into the abyss to find out who you really are...I'd be surprised if it hasn't happened to everybody here, and I'll be very surprised if Ms. Bria doesn't come back better than ever...my money is on her to win, not finish or show!

I think it was Dizzy Dean during his time as an announcer who was observing a player in a slump who said the guy's problem was he was thinking too much and what was worse the guy was really smart. Dean's broadcasting partner asked what Dean had done to get out of a slump when he was pitching. To which Dean responded in his drawl, "I was lucky enough to never be that smart."
